I live in North Florida, where it's hot most of the time, but we do actually have a cooler winter. Winter. In preparation for winter I got this fire pit which I knew we would thoroughly enjoy on these cooler evenings that have already started. It's only a matter of time before we'll get to enjoy s'mores over the fire with this fire pit. My favorite part about this is that it's a propane fire pit , and therefore does not emit the strong smell of smoke that tends to stay in hair and clothing long after the fire has been put out.First of all, I want to mention that assembly of this piece was really easy. I was done in under 20 minutes, and the instructions are very clear. It would be helpful to build it in place in order to avoid having to fit it through doorways to get it where you want it when you're done building it. As far as the size is concerned, it's actually much bigger than I thought it would be. It's a good height if you're going to be sitting around it in chairs like Adirondacks or other comfortable chairs that tend to be a little bit lower. The edges of the table are rounded, which seems like it's not that big of a deal, but as somebody who tends to bruise their legs running into Corners, I'm one who appreciates this very much.Two very handy features of this fire pit are number one: the propane tank can be neatly hidden away in the cavity of the table, and there is a wonderful access panel that allows you full and easy access to be able to swap out the tank. The second handy feature of this is a metal cover that goes over the area where the stones and fire are. When you're not using the fire pit, you can simply cover that area up with the metal piece, essentially making this just a regular table. When you're using it, the metal cover can be placed on the side of the table which is magnetized so that the cover stays in place and out of the way.This whole table is actually pretty lightweight, but it is well made, and when assembled it actually is very sturdy. We haven't yet used this fire pit for an extended amount of time for me to accurately comment on whether or not the whole thing gets really hot, but I'll be sure to update the review. In the short time that I've had this, I can already see how great it will be in the winter time and I'm sure we're going to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Compared to some other fire pits out there. There this one is a really good value for the cost.

This was packaged well and came with everything needed to assemble and use minus the propane tank. Each and every part was flawless. The hardware was separated by steps and included extra hardware just in case, and the instructions were thoroughly written and easy to follow. The padded coverings could be used to pad each piece on the ground for outdoor assembly but I opted the assemble inside on a rug.The magnetic top which allows you to store it on the side while I'm use was genius. Our last one we were always trying to find places to store it so this was the main reason why I ordered this one. This works perfect and now just have to train myself to remember that it has this feature. The wired basket to store the cover was also a great feature (cover not included).It comes with lava rocks but I personally prefer to use the glass. I used a mix of crushed mirror glass and larger green fire rocks. If I had strictly used just the crushed glass, the bowl would have held close to 20lbs, you just have to make sure you don't cover the square part of the metal ring. The igniter works as expected. It's easy to turn on and off. The metal table top cover allows this to double as a table when the for pit isn't in use.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase due to the added features and price point.

This is a nice outdoor fire pit table. It does hold some water on top when rains, which leaves water spots, and water that does drain goes down through the middle, so I would like to see some better drainage, but we got a cover to avoid the pooling and that seems to have helped. I like that we can keep the cover on and still use it as a regular table out there to eat at even if we don't want a fire right then, and then we can open it up after we're done with the meal.

Looks great, easy to assemble and nice and warm. Seems to be good quality to date and nice addition to the deck without taking up a ton of space!

This is well built, in fact the materials and metal are thicker and nicer than the ones you get at the local big box store. Some assembly was required but nothing outrageous. This uses a 20lb propane tank, not included. It was the hit of the party as we are finally getting cooler in Arizona. It has lasted a few months now with varied weather and still looks amazing and works as it did day one. The price is great and well worth it.

Firstly,East Oak is my go to for patio supplies. They are nice quality products that do not break the bank.This fire place had a magnetic cover that snaps into place, but it also snaps onto the side of the pit. That was a great move by East Oak. I wasn't trying to find a place to lay the lid on that wouldn't scratch it.This looks great on the patio, now I need to finish my outdoor area.Pros:- Great quality- Lid is magnetic to the top and the side storage area.- The flame is consistentCons:- None at the moment.Like other outdoor furniture, this will last longer if it is covered and taken care of.*5 stars for a happy order!
