Perfect for old or new Microsoft surface
Bought for my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Eyes starting to go so bought this to hook up old surface to a new big monitor. Making work so much easier without having to invest in a new Surface.

Doesn't work
Does not send the signal to the monitor. Waste of money. Also keeps disconnecting and immediately reconnecting, causing computer to make frequent alert sounds.

Work with mouse and keyboard but not monitors.

Works Great
Dock is very convenient. I now leave my charger at work and use this dock at home. I love the magnetic dock. I used to have a small portable usb-c dock which wasn’t able to charge. I always felt it was getting too much use and would eventually damage the usb-c. Make sure to place the dock correctly. If you do it upside down, it will charge but the data transfer including monitor will not work. As far as longevity goes, I’ve only had it for a few months.

Not a Microsoft Docking Station
This is not a microsoft docking station as the name falsely aims to imply. I have had this for 6 months now and unable to connect to the USB ports connected to this docking station. This charges my surface pro fine but does not let you connect to the laptop.
