It’s a good shake

First of all, I ordered the vanilla flavor (the only one that was available), and I got "Dutch Chocolate." I prefer chocolate flavor, so this is fine by me.I was a bit scared of this, but honestly, I have been pleasantly surprised. It's REALLY not bad at all. It's a little chalky and it's not super quick to dissolve, but that's the worst I can say. It tastes healthy - but in a good way. Not too sweet and no fake sugar or fake sugar taste. Lots of healthy ingredients.I think it could be even better as a blended drink, for example - or maybe with some additives (I'm envisioning an iced latte - I may just try this and update my review when I have!). The thing I am most confused about is that it says specifically to mix it with your favorite non-dairy beverage, but this seems like it would be perfect with milk, rather than water.

This had an artificial vanilla flavor that I didn’t care for. It was easy to make a shake but not one I’ll buy again

Best protein powder

I received chocolate instead of the vanilla I ordered, so this review will discuss the chocolate flavor. The instructions mention 1 scoop (1/4 c.) of powder, but my bag didn’t include a scoop (not sure if that’s the norm) or if they mentioned it expecting customers to already have one.It doesn’t taste watery, even though I prepared it with water. It’s a bit like chocolate milk but with a slight hint of vitamins — you can tell it has vitamins in it, but it doesn’t have that characteristic bitterness. It doesn’t taste like protein powders at all and it’s not overly sweet, either. I see veggies listed in the ingredients, but you don’t taste that, either.

Always top tier

I personally have found better protein drinks. The taste is pretty good and it mixes well in liquids but it seems to upset my stomach. I don’t like having some of the ingredients that are in this product, like guar gum and xantham gum. I’m no health expert but I’d rather see all natural ingredients in a drink like this. I wish they would have shown all the ingredients on the purchase page.

At the time of this review, the manufacturer has included controversial ingredients without listing them in the add. For your convenience, I have included them. Yikes. In particular, Stevia, an artificial sweetener is included. I have had previous reviews rejected for offering medical advice so I invite the reader to google "stevia and health-related effects". I strictly avoid this ingredient because my wife has an adverse response to it. Yet, why would anyone add an artificial sweetener to a product whose second ingredient by weight is evaporated cane sugar. How much would the sugar have weighed had the water not been evaporated? Likely more than the soy protein. Also I could not believe the serving size at the current price point. Buying and reviewing is often an emotional behavior. In my case, I feel insulted by the the product/value. I recommend the buyer purchase soy protein and literally mix it with as much pure sugar as they want. At least they will know what they are buying
