The best part is the floating fleece lined compartment in the main zip. I use that for my sunglasses and I don't need to worry about them being squished by my other things so I can leave out my bulky glasses case. It fits everything perfectly and still feels pretty streamlined. I have used it as a waist pack as well, but it does feel huge wearing it that way compared to other fanny pack style bags.
