Not a bad reed. Using it in a plastic Naill, the tuning isn't perfect but yanno they never are.I suppose the chanter could be taped but nobody I know ever does that for a practice chanter. And close enough.

May require work to get going good
I had to sand the bejeezus out of mine to get them to play. After that they work ok. I like my gibson reeds better, may just be my chanter I dunno. I've only been doing this for 5 or 6 weeks. I found a bunch of good youtube videos on how to adjust reeds.

What a Difference!
I just started playing the chanter 3 months ago. I had a reed that came with the chanter. My sound was very quiet and I was putting in a lot of air. I know nothing about chanter reeds and picked these because they came as an 2 pack and came in a case. ( sad but true) I popped one of the reeds in tonight and WOW!!! The sound was big!! Thank you Barefoot Bagpiper! What a difference! It gives me hope!

Reeds in summer
Only 1 of the 2 reeds worked due the plastic being warped on one of them. Maybe due to heat in the summer and sitting outside before I got home. But, it arrived quickly when I needed it.
