Green Plantain (Pack of 10)

This box of Plantain was an excellent find. Prompt delivery. I put some in the fridge but I also wrapped some in newspaper to ripen.I attempted to cook one green in the steamer, it wasn't bad. At the weekend I cooked my first two yellow plantain, they had ripened beautifully. I check the wrapped ones every few days, if it was warmer, they would ripen quicker, but I am not worried.I would definitely buy them again, and never return to the corner shop where the plantain is always black and over ripened.

The plantain were green, fresh, and healthy. They were big and the package arrived on time. This is the second time I buy these, and I am glad I gave the seller a chance. Thank you. They also ripen gradually, allowing for in-between yummy semi-mature plantains with which to make Tajadas. I have subscribed.I hope the seller won't send me small, unripenable pieces, as I do enjoy to see them gradually ripen. I want healthy, well-harvested plantains moving forwards. I like my plantains big, ripenable, and healthy.

My plantains arrived as expected, in a brown box. When the box first arrived, the plantains felt cold, so perhaps they froze them for the shipping process?The flavor was excellent! Starchy. They did not ripen or go bad overly quick either. Perfect!Since this is a lot of plantains, I would recommed peeling them, wrapping the peeled plantains in cellophane or saran wrap, and freezing.

unfortunately yellow and a bit mouldy (white fur) on arrival, box was very bashed and open in places. most of the plantain was edible after cutting out blackened portion however as it was ripe was a bit too sweet for its intended use (fried plantain).

It has been almost 3 weeks since I bought these and not one has ripened!!! They are immature and probably will go bad before they are ripe.I bought all green ones this time because the ripe ones arrived mostly squashed (but were bigger).
