Gentle for you jeans and works well!
Gentle on my denim jeans and keep the color dark. I love my denims so much that I give them great care. I also use their spray between washes. Great stuff. Which they were just a bit bigger and cheaper tho.

Follow directions carefully
This was the first time I actually followed directions carefully in washing selvage jeans properly and it made all the difference in the world. My dirty icky jeans are now clean but have retained all the marks and signs of wear and tear.

Washed my pants
I used these to wash my pants. It worked. Very little denim loss, no overwhelming fragrances. It has a slight herb-like smell, I can't quite put my finger on it. It's almost like basil or oregano. It'll last a while, so it's a good value. If you've got high quality denim this is the best soap on Amazon for it.

Very strong scent
It may be great for jeans, but I used it for the first time today and follow the instructions exactly. Took my clothes out of the washer and then went out for a couple of hours. Came back and my whole house smells like a goodwill. Very strong detergent smell throughout. Yikes! Should have looked for an unscented version.
