I took that risk with this cube and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The cube feels slightly heavy and nice and solid in the hand. It turns smoothly and doesn't get locked up. It's occasionally a little hard to keep the layers lined up to make a turn, but that is to expected with so many layers and it's not too much of a hassle to realign them. As far as solving the puzzle, if you're very new to Rubik's-style puzzles it'll for sure be pretty tricky for you. However, if you know how to solve a 5x5 and a 6x6, then you won't have any problem at all with the 7x7. I love this puzzle. Review: Great cube! - Very smooth movement. Well lubed. A caution to anyone who is colorblind. The red is not as bold as on an original Rubiks cube. It's more magenta. The red and blue look very similar. The green is also easily confused with the yello. Over all I really like this cube.

Great quality
I've been using it readily for over a year. No stickers that peel, so it's looking brand new. Well built, smooth, and I've never had an issue with popping or locking.

A good Cube
This is a great sticker-less cube. It is about 3" wide/tall and is not too hard to hold. Not meant for speed-cubing so I would not attempt. I have not had any pieces pop but the turning of the rows as you move towards the center row seem to have a little more friction.

Stiff
It feels very stiff at first and it locks a lot. I was surprised seeing uncomfortable it would be to rotate seeing how my hands would get stressed easily after some time, especially compared to a 6x6 I have from somewhere else. It might be just this type of production. I often lay the cube down on a surface to line it better, it happens a lot. Difficulty wise, it's no different than the 5x5, you just gotta figure out how to orient the extra edge pieces. You gotta be creative and combine some stuff, apart from that it's just a longer 5x5.

Pretty good honestly
For a 7x7, the turning is quite good, better than one's I have seen in the past. The size is comfortable in the hands, and for the price I would say a good cube.

Came broken.
I went to drop the cube out of the box into my hand. It spilled out like legos. The white axle had came broke off the rest of the assembly.
