If you're looking at this, you're probably sick of the yucky chocolate advent calendars, too. Since I got this to review, my kids and I went ahead and put it together and then took it back apart to use again in December. More about pros and cons of reusing below.Our very favorite part about this is that it's a visual representation of time passing--like those paper chains I made as a kid to count down the days until Christmas. But this one is building TOWARDS it rather than counting down. I love that it goes faster as you get closer (since the diameter is smaller) so it really feels like time is speeding up for the kids!The pieces fit together well and it's straightforward to build. The end product is a cute decoration if you're the kind of person who considers bricks decoration (I've resigned myself to it...I've got multiple happy builders and my husband is the worst of them!)If you plan on reusing it, just know that it's a bit tedious to sort out all the pieces again. I finally just decided to not worry about doing it exactly right. The kids don't care. So how I did it was to first take apart the tree in chunks in more-or-less backwards order. That way I made sure I broke it into the right number of pieces and put them in the correct box. Then I set out the boxes next to each chunk. Then disassembled that chunk. Totally doable. I think next time I'll have the kids do it--it's no worse than all the assembling/disassembling/sorting they already do constantly anyway, lol.

I got this advent calendar for my granddaughter who is 8 years old. She enjoys building Legos with her daddy so I think this countdown calendar will be a fun daily activity for them to enjoy together. Since I'm giving it to her next month, I can't rate the final product but want to give an honest review of the calendar components.The outside box is quite large and nice and sturdy. Each individual box is also good quality with the building blocks sealed in a plastic bag that is fitted securely within each individual box. There is a great instruction sheet included that will assist the builders on each day to ensure the project is assembled correctly. The final Christmas tree will have a light component which I think makes this extra special. I'm excited to see my granddaughter build this Christmas tree while counting down to the big day!

I have never seen an advent calendar, quite like this, and I am in love with it! The pieces are all high-quality, and the box is organized very well! I can imagine this being a great product for families, as well as individuals of any age. This is such a fun project to build and customize your own calendar!

This Christmas advent calendar is compatible with name brand building blocks. This is a fun way to celebrate all month. Each day you get to add on to the Christmas tree. I love that each day comes in a separate box so that you can reuse it next year if you want to put the pieces back in the boxes. The instructions are a little challenging to follow on some parts due to the colors used in the instruction booklet. But for the most part this was an easy build. I look forward to redoing it in December to count down to Christmas day.

This is perfect for lego loving kids (and adults)! I never like getting advent calendars because the stuff inside is either random junk or gross chocolate. This advent calendar is not only an activity but is reusable. My kids will love doing a small portion of the tree each day leading up to Christmas. When it gets taken down after Christmas, I love that we can keep it all in the box (even though it won't be a true advent calendar after that) and we can rebuild it again next year.I do with they had the blocks in each box labeled with the number box so you could convert it back into an advent again but I guess you could number them on your own. Would recommend.

I just received the calendar lately, and it was just like described. Nicely packed, and sealed, I can't wait to December 1st to begin the creation of the tree! Until then, we just need to be patient.

Haven’t opened it yet as it’s for 01 December but, packaging is very cute and all the pieces are already in their separate boxes, ready to go.

Sent as a gift, only to hear it had been previously enjoyed. How embarrassing!After having the disappointed recipient return it, it was pre-ordered. The 2nd time it was an un-opened/unused gift.How can this happen? I expect new - unless specified.I apologized to the gift recipient, but I should receive no less than an apology as the purchaser.The 'new' set seems fine, and I can't imagine how, but hope this incident was an anomaly.
