The media could not be loaded.  I will be using this in the kitchen. First impression and testing; The feel of the 4500hs is premium, durable, fire is strong, fast ignition, confidently safe to use as well. I bought a propane to butane converter and it works well with butane too, planning to use this for torch hei, burgers, steaks, vegetables, etc... I also have the 8000 and it is just as good. A little more money than normal ones but work at all angles which others won’t. Wish I had been buying for years. Good torch

I use torches sometimes to install vinyl onto cars, and I wanted a tip that was a litter bigger because it gives me easier and better control over the flame. I can comfortable say the product will work for a long time because all the installers I know have their original torch heads from at least 5-10 years ago.I trust Bernzomatic products!

I've bought similar Benzomatic torches in the past and have full confidence in their products. However the torch I received was obviously a returned item and resold to me. It had been opened and taped back together with common scotch tape. Not a good way to do business!

Believe it or not, I bought this to sear a crust on Sous Vide steaks, not for shrink tubing. The burner itself is the same as the Sansaire Searing Kit, it just has the Bernzomatic branding on it, and does not come with the raised searing rack. As I didn't care about the former, and didn't need the latter, I opted to purchase this for a good deal less than the Sansaire kit.This thing works quite well to put a crust on a sous vide steak in just a few minutes. Plus it has the "cool factor" of finishing your meals with a "flamethrower".For those not familiar of sous vide, it is a method of cooking (usually steaks and other meats) with food sealed in a bag, and kept in a tightly temperature controlled water bath for a period of time. So, a medium rare steak would sit in a water bath for 2 or more hours. At which point, the steak is perfectly cooked consistently to a medium rare doneness. However, from the outside still looks uncooked. Queue the BZ4500HS. The end result is a beautiful, restaurant-quality steak without the restaurant prices.I would highly recommend this torch for anyone looking to step up their cooking game, and it probably works OK for heat shrink too.

I use this to dry my pottery while it's still on the wheel. The spread of the flame is just right.

I bought this to improve my sous vide setup since my small butane torch just wasn't producing the kind of sear I wanted. If the butane was not hot enough, this gets a bit too hot.My searing attempts so far have had mixed results and usually end up adding a slight off flavor since edges, corners, and any slivers sticking slightly up get burnt to a crisp. Only seasoning with salt before searing or carefully removing any herbs (or bundling the herbs together to be removed later) is absolute must! Learning to keep the flame moving, being patient, keeping the flame further away, and going slow certainly helps get a more evenly seared and less burnt result.All in all I believe the torch does what I expected it to but I did not anticipate how steep the learning curve would be when using it.

Works really well, never fails to light expensive but you get what you pay for great quality. 👍

Use it for sous vide. Best one I have used to date.

I bought this as package online with Amazon with the Searzall attachment but this is not compatible with this attachment. Very disappointed
