As most RV'ers know the heat distribution in an RV oven is horrible. Having the stone placed on the lower rack gets the heat to circulate around for more even heating. No more burnt spots or under done food. Great product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars You must season and properly care for your pizza stone. *by C***J on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2021* So I bought this because 1) I love pizza and can eat it all day, every day, and 2) because I have an RV stove, I was told a pizza stone would help to distribute the heat and not burn my food. With that being said, I initially used my pizza stone in my grill because, in the summertime, cooking in my kitchen heats up my house too much, so grilling is easier. It cooked my pizzas so well! I did make a pizza with a keto crust once and it just stuck to the pizza stone and made a giant mess, so I didn't do that again. Your pizza stone is like a cast iron, you have to properly take care of it and season it and eventually, nothing will stick. That comes with time. As far as heat distribution, it does nicely when your heat is evenly distributed. While having this stone in my RV stove does keep my food from burning at all, it still does cook faster in the middle and sometimes I have a burnt center if I leave it in there long enough. The heat doesn't distribute as evenly as I would like but otherwise, it was a good buy. I really don't have anything to compare it to.
