Yes, the vest comes with 2 lbs of weights: two 1/2 lb. weights and four 1/4 lb. weights. Additional weights are available for purchase separately on Amazon.

How much weight should I use in my vest?

Add the weights gradually to the child’s preference; however the total weight of the vest should not exceed 10-15% of the child’s body weight.

How do I wash the Weighted Fleece Vest?

Remove weights from inside the pockets and adhere all closures. Then, machine wash on a cold and gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Weights are surface wash and air dry.

It doesn't look like your typical weighted vest, much nicer.

The vest is good quality material. I'm hoping this will help my grandson and give my son and his wife some relief with their son.It does not look like a weighted vest which is nice. Mine didn't come with the weights, but I think that might have been an error. I received the vest in one package and a second package/envelope that was completely empty.

Special needs win

My kiddo does not like jackets so wearing a vest was perfect. The area for the weights sat around his hips so it gave weight and compression while walking and weight when sitting. Remember, only 20 min at a time or you lose the effect for proprioceptive input!
