If there was a “zero/negative” star that would be my rating. The poke screws on, and very easily came loose - after just one month the item is broken. The threads are stripped and the pile will no longer attaché/screw on the base. The so called spring was so tight my 20 pound beagle would not play with it unless I was holding onto the VERY short rope attached. It was so short I tried tying in additional rope toy so she could reach it, and b/c if very rigid “spring” she wouldn’t play with it. It would spring back so hard I was afraid it’d pull her teeth out!Save your money and DO NOT purchase this item!! Cheap construction, and designer obviously trying to copy a better version yet this one is pathetic!!** Update 08/01/2018 The company responded and were nice enough to offer a replacement of the improved design. Design of the tug toy is being reviewed and improved upon, so hopefully my feedback will help.

My dogs love this toy but it only lasted 3 weeks and the rope broke already do you sell tge rope to replace it?

My dog absolutely loves this. I did have to make a few modifications. We had to dig a hole and attach it to cement for him to quit pulling it out. He is very tough so he did this constantly updated the rope to a piece of chain with two carabiners to add his favorite toy, and it works great the rope did not last long as he was very smart, and figured out how to chew it off, we did try other types of ropes. He of course figured out how to chew those off as you can see in the video but now with the chain with the carabiners, it works fantastic. The best product for the end of it was a piece of rubber Kong ball that we Have still found very indestructible, and he plays with this toy constantly

Was really looking forward to this (can’t keep up with new dog’s tug-of-war obsession)!Package came with this item in a shipping box. Product box was open like it was not strong enough to hold it or it was someone else’s return (zip tie just floating in the package, messy). Fine, looked like all the parts were there and in good shape. When I tried to assemble it one of the pieces screws into another...well it was supposed to. Did not fit, tried for a long time and just was not threading. When looking closer the screw was too big for the hole. Hubby shaking his head with a smug smile says to give it to him. Who’s laughing now! He can’t get it either. Puts on glasses and saw that it was never going to fit. Told ya! Returned. Disappointed!!

My 5 month old Labrador pit-bull broke the first one by pulling the pole from the spike ruining the threads so it could not be reattached. Purchased a second one then snapped the pole from the spring at the weld within a month. Re-welded it back together and then one of the prongs on the ground stak snapped right off but my puppy enjoys playing with it. Cheap metal, rusts fast

My dog loved this until her pulled the pole apart and it was a wrap. Other than the design for the pole which wasn’t exactly safe for my dog. It was a fun toy and made quite well. I would suggest clamping the pipe down then tighten the Allen head screw more. I have a big German shepherd and pitbull mix 100 + pound dog a little dog you would be fine.

We are hoping this toy will last. I agree with others it needs to be supervised. When he pulls the hold rod bends down and needs to be straightened each time.

Waste of money, this fell apart about 5 times before we finally threw it away. We had to JB weld it at all the seams and it still broke. The 1 day it did work our dog loved it. If you have a very small dog that doesn’t have a big tug, it will probably work.
