I don't have the unicorn pillow pet though -- i have the dolphin one. I put in the normal cycle and wash it every couple weeks. My little girl was adamant that she wanted a Unicorn and it has proved pretty difficult to find, so i was really pleased when I came across this one!It's not as big as I imagined (some on the TV look huge) but the description does say 18" and that is what it is and it's lovely and soft (not cheap looking) and I know she'll be thrilled.
