Necessary for poor design that most cars have for a lift point.
These are very strong jack and jack stand pads that save the lift point seam that most cars have. The jack stand pads fit perfectly on a 2-3 ton jack stand and the pucks fit well inside a 3 ton floor jack or a larger OTR 20 ton jack stand. You probably wouldn't use the pucks on an OTR jack stand if using it for its designed purpose on a tractor trailer, but they work really well if using them for an incredibly stable platform for a car if you don't have the room or access to a car lift.

Works well, smells bad
I'm very sensitive to smells so I'm sure this isn't something that would bother a lot of people but wow these were very smelly. Just open them outside/in garage and it's fine, but they pack a smelly punch. They work well though and haven't had any problems with them!

Happy to find these. Got a car to restore.
Might save me some great pain!!I have an old Mustang up on jack stands in my garage with the wheels off and the engine out. I'm going to redo the entire car including all the suspension parts. I have been worrying how to support it just on the uni-body to remove the rear axle and front suspension. These pads will make the difference giving the stands good purchase and allowing me to jack it without damaging the sheet metal! I have a mixture of old and new jack stands and a very old high lift floor jack. I will make a wooden disk to fill up the big lifting cup and cut a recess in its center for the pinch weld pad. This will be perfect! and I will not need to worry about the car sliding off of the rubber the way I would with a metal on metal contact. There will be some high torque wrenching on the suspension parts!

Strong rubbery smell and greasy
I received the jack stand pads and upon opening the ziplock, I noticed a strong smell of petroleum rubber. Inside the pack, the rubber pads appeared yellowish and greasy. When I used the round rubber pad with wood blocks to lift my car, it initially seemed fine. However, the rubber started to slip and squeeze, so I promptly removed it. I have doubts about its ability to work effectively on the jack stands, especially under the weight of the car. I'm concerned that the 'V' shaped rubber might eventually split. Consequently, I don't feel confident in using these pads for my car.

Works as expected. Smell? It's the air freshener of choice at auto parts stores!
These non-technical rubber pads seem to do what they are supposed to do. They exhibit the right amount of flexibility to allow them to conform to some of the surface differences encountered between various vehicles and jacks. It seems that they need that little bit of “squish” to do their job, however I can agree that too much squish would definitely not be a good thing. Too hard also seems like it could be a problem and could allow things might slide instead of mold into place. Only my opinions…These were perfect for me in my situation atop my hydraulic floor jack setup as a #3 support for extra safety in case #1 or #2 had a problem. In other words, I’m not crawling under an elevated vehicle until I have wheel chocks and primary, secondary and even tertiary supports in place.Smell? Yes - and it’s common to cast rubber items. For me, the smell reminds me of the tires, motor mounts and so on found at an auto parts store. I worked at one right out of high-school and since I really liked that job I kinda actually like the smell. It can get a little strong so what I did for my wheel chocks that smelled the same was leave them outside behind the garage in the sun and rain (Pacific Northwest) for a couple months. Barely any smell remains; almost not enough to make me smile.About my rating… 3.0 Stars is right-in-the-middle/average. These blocks of rubber appear to do what they should do, and don’t waiver on either side of average as far as I can see. Therefore, my rating is 3.0-Stars.MY RATING SYSTEM: Ratings are based on my personal use and research. All items are in the middle “average”3.0-Star until I discover otherwise. Only whole point scoring is recorded so partial scores will be rounded up at half point or more and down if under half point. Nice pads, strong rubber smell
The pads themselves seem to be decent quality, hopefully they don't deteriorate quickly. There is a super strong smell like everyone else mentioned and it does seem to take a minute to off-gas.

Haven't owned them long but very happy so far.
Purchased the jack pads to protect the welds and finish of my vehicles. I've used them on a Jeep and a Rav 4 with no issues at tall. Solid construction, no compression issues, fits my jacks and jack stand perfectly. I think the value of this kit is outstanding.

They fit perfectly on my jack stands and floor jack allowing me to jack or jack stands in the pinch weld without damaging it.
