Great quality for the price. Ordered 6 in total and all arrived in good condition. The way I plan to use these is in grow bags with peppers and cucumbers to get water down to the roots once the plant matures. I live in the desert so encouraging deeper root growth helps the plants not dry up during the summer. So far I have noticed that the water seems mostly gone from the olla after a day or so. They are a good size and I think they hold a fair bit of water. I also hand water with fertilizer once weekly so the soil hasn't had a chance to dry out too much. We'll see how they perform over the growing season. Overall, I think this will do a good job of getting the water deeper into the grow bag.

I love Ollas for the garden and have been using similar Olla in my garden since 2011 and it really helps in the hot, dry Texas summer. It was time to get some replacements for some old ones and these were the ones I selected. Received quickly. They look great, seem very well made. I have high hopes for them in my large garden containers and 4 x 8 raised beds. These came very securely packaged, I bought 6 of the large ones and while they are smaller than the previous brand I have been using they are well made and will I think be perfect for where I need them.

I have used the terra cotta spikes and water bottles in years past. They work well however, this year I wanted to try something a little less labor intensive and higher capacity. I wanted something I didn't have to attend to quite as often. So, I tried these in my garden and have seen positive results with several of my plants such as my bluebonnets, crimson clovers, zinnias, marigolds, and sunflowers. I do recommend removing the ollas from the ground once temperatures reach freezing as they become brittle and will break. I encourage either the terra spikes or ollas over manual watering as the terra is more forgiving of incidents such as missed waterings. Better results, less work!

I'm so glad I ordered these ollas. They are larger than they look, and perfect for our hot desert climate. They distribute the water slowly underground, right where the roots need it. They arrived quicker than expected, and were packaged well.

the size is nice, they hold a decent amount of water and make it easy to keep up with watering your plants, but it will start to dry out faster than you may think depending on your weather. I would give 5 stars if the mouth opening had a bit of a flare to make it easier to pour into it

Extremely useful in my raised garden beds. Just dig hole in dirt so pots are covered and fill with water. How often you fill the pots with water will depending on the time of year and where you live. I’m in central Florida so it gets hot here by April.

The ollas are thick and well designed at an excellent price. Perfect for inserting in pots or in raised beds. Look forward to using these for many years.
