Good strong spring. Works well under power.
Good parts. Split washer is not too thin or thick. The spring has ample tension. The spring and washer keep the beaters in place, when under power.I did add a split nylon washer below the steel split washer that has the same outside diameter as the split metal washer. Therefore, the pot metal beaters do not rub up against the split part of the metal washer.

IDK why Kitchenaid stopped including these on their mixers, but thank goodness this exists!
Definitely helps my 7qt kitchenaid function! less bouncing from the paddle and better mixing. Easy to install, but you will need some needle nose pliers for the washer- too sturdy to bend it by hand, oh no... not quality.... 10/10 recommend this!!

Tension Sring added, just as originally designed for this mixer!!
Super easy installation, with instruction video sent with item to give simple and clearl instructions.I felt it was important to buy directly from MrMixer as I always see the social media posts and like to do business with people that have a passion for what they do. PLUS... I didnt even know my mixer was missing this spring until I was told in the social posts it was removed in 2016 to cut cost... but after I was aware, I felt inadequate and had "spring envy" so good job on the marketing guys! 🤣

Nice little piece to add to your Kitchen Aid mixer.
This keeps you beater under tension so it won't come loose. You don't realize how nice this is until you use it. Very simple and it works great. Why Kitchen Aid stopped putting these on the mixer I will never know. Oh that's right---the bean counters stuck their noses into the manufacturing process.

Use it with the "everdime" to stop blade and mixer head vertical oscillations cold.
When used in conjunction with the "everdime" also available on Amazon the up and down motion of the beater and also the jumping of the head under load stops completely. A definite improvement to the Kitchenaid mixers.

Does not work with all Kitchenaid accessories
Good quality and works with the accessories originally supplied with the mixer, but will not work with the Fled Edge beater or the 11-wire whisk. The distance from the top edge of the hub to the slot for the agitator pin is a little larger on these, so they will not fit with the spring & washer on.

Should be standard on stand mixers!
The kit was very easy to install and now my attachments are rock solid on the shaft. They should never have stopped putting these on KitchenAid mixers!
