Well designed with some useful features
Very light weight so it is not going to add massively to your kit, well designed with some useful features.I like that it offers both a built in phone clamp and a ¼ tripod mount, so giving some versatility. The built in cold shoe mount comes into play with the phone mount, allowing for fill in lights, along with another ¼ inch thread at the side, though the mount that is shown in some of the illustrations is not included. There is plenty of adjustment for panning round and choosing the angle of your shot, with it all securing up firmlyI have a Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ95 and would be completely comfortable using it on this tripod as it gives a very secure and stable mountHave also used it with a tripod mounted web cam, giving the option to be desk mounted, again because of the stable base it gives. The bendy legs allow for a large variety of mounting options and hold their shape well.Supplied in a retail box, shame it does not come with a storage pouch

A versatile, flexible mini-tripod!
This tripod has been well-designed to be versatile, strong for its svelte weight of 315g, equally capable of holding either your phone, an action camera, or even a reasonably weighty DSLR with the standard 1/4" screw. It was able to hold my Canon EOS700D with EFS15-85mm lens horizontal, together weighing 1.15kg.The tripod head unfolds to reveal a spring-loaded clamp that can accommodate phones measuring 6.5cm-9cm wide, which I reckon covers all modern models. The clamp has soft pads to protect your phone against scratching. The head is easy to reposition with a friction lock on the side, allowing you to mount your camera horizontally or vertically, and still adjust the pivot up or down. The head also has a bubble level to help you keep your shot horizontal. The legs splay like a normal tripod, but also bend smoothly to grip around objects as in one of my photos.I am very impressed by the performance and decent price of £20 for this handy tripod, which is why I think it deserves the full five stars.

Very flexible in more ways than one
This is a review of the Coman Robust Octopus Flexible Tripod. At the time of posting this review this product was priced at £19.99.This tripod is flexible in more ways than one. Yes, the legs are flexible and can be bent to wrap around a post or other fixed support to hold the camera steady when out and about. But the range of options make this a very flexible tripod. The ball head has a fixed attachment which has a spring-loaded phone holder, a spirit level, a cold shoe, and a standard tripod screw for a camera. The ball head can also be unscrewed from a standard tripod screw to allow other tripod heads, an action camera mount, or video lights to be attached. There is a threaded hole at the top of the tripod legs where other attachments can be placed. This is the most flexible tabletop tripod I’ve ever used. It is very good.

Perfect to attach to railings.
The 'VIDIFY Coman Robust Octopus Flexible Tripod, Max Load 2kg' arrived in a branded box with instructions. This is quite a versatile little tripod with interchangeable head. I was disappointed that where the ball head had been fitted it had taken some of the finish off of the tripod; ideally there should have been some form of protection to prevent this. The plate on the ball head is opened out by pulling the plate as though extending it, and once the interlocking sections on the underside are separated the place can then be folded.Although this tripod can be stood on a table or other surface with the legs spread wide enough to ensure stability, what I find makes it most useful is the ability to wrap the legs around a pole or similar to create a secure platform. The only improvement I will add to this is an Arca Swiss base to enable me to quickly swap the item that is mounted.

Solidly constructed for its price
Solidly constructed for a tripod in this price range, it’s sturdy and holds my camera still enough.Small and lightweight enough to carry around in a kit bag, it’s definitely a practical piece of kit to have on hand. It’s not the best tripod money can buy but for the budget price it is a lot of tripod and for many this is all the tripod you’ll need. For the price and quality of its construction and how practical it is, I’m happy with it and would recommend it to someone on a budget and in need of this type of tripod.

Does the job nicely
This small tripod arrives in a easy to recycle cardboard box. It's well made from a mix of metal and plastic, with a good variety of multiple attachment options. A tripod that's reasonably sturdy and robust, especially when used for supporting small action style cameras, phones, microphones and RFG lights. While it can support a DSLR with a short lens, it can struggle to stay upright if that lens is on the heavy side. I particularly like how it's got a ball head with a quick release plate. That's a nice very useable feature you don't see that often on small cheap tripods. Also good is how the flexible legs can be wrapped around objects. While not as good as a Joby, for the price I can't complain, plus it's no struggle to use duct tape if needed for extra security. The phone clip mechanism isn't that special, mainly because it's fiddly to install and the spring grip isn't that strong, but it's useable enough if you do need to use it.Overall ? If you want a nicely versatile and great value small tripod, this doesn't disappoint.

Good but terrible instructions
Robust outer packaging with tripod in plastic bag – plus very unhelpful instructions. The ‘instructions’ tell you what the tripod does but not how to do it.It took about 10 - 15 minutes to work out how to release the mobile phone clip. One end is spring loaded and has to be pulled out so that the vertical arm can be hinged up. The design is simple, effective and compact. The build seems sturdy and would probably hold a DSLR with a standard lens. The Ball head works well and it has a cute wee spirit level.Only thing that’s not great is the lack of instructions.
