DC Sports EX-1012B Performance Bolt-On Resonated Muffler Slant Tip with Clamps and Adapters for Fitment on Most Cars, Sedans, and Trucks - Matte Black Powdercoat

Had to use 2 large muffler clamps and a pipe extension after I had to cut off part of the orginal 1997 ford ranger pipe I also welded it then painted all of it with high heat tailpipe paint. It does look and sound better than it did before but the engine is actually louder than the tailpipe is till it goes over 45 mph and you only hear it as the speed increases not the whole time but I prefer it that way. The original tailpipe seemed to be too close to the truck body which is why I ordered the tailpipe end and now the smoke is further away from the body which is how its supposed to be. If you put your ear up to the tailpipe end while truck is idle you can definitely hear a difference but the engine is loud and I have en expensive washable air filter not a paper one which also makes a difference but changing anything else will make the check engine light come one and can cost alot to maintain. 90s trucks are designed to stay the way they are except the air filter and tailpipe end.

I can confirm this will fit a 2025 Subaru Forester Premium trim with no modification to the tailpipe but some inventive installation solutions. The tail pipe on my forester flares out at the end so this will not slip on with the hardware already attached. So I had to hot glue 2 of the flat bolts in place and slide the last bolt in place once I slide this past the flared out edge. Then i was able to thread all the bolts in by rotating the pipe to get to all of them. Centered it and tightened down the bolts. I did not push this all the way back as the mounting hardware would come into contact with the muffler and probably cause a rattle down the line. This will result in this sticking out past the bumper a little from certain angles. Looks a lot better then stock to me.

This muffler tip gave me the look i was going for. however the screws that it comes with are not very good the metal its kind of soft and he threading was stripped when i was trying to fasten the muffler tip into place. it didn't take much force to strip the screws so i ended up just going to my local hardware store to get a back of screw that was compatible. there's no real noise enhancement its mainly for looks. after several months of use I do notice some rust so i might replace it soon. 3.5/5

I tried mounting the tip to my 2016 TRD SR-5 Tacoma. I cut the end of my exhaust off where it Extruded to 2.75 inches. I could not get the tip on the now 2.5 inch, or so exhaust end with the provided hardware. I ended up trashing the hardware, and I ended up cutting 3 2.5" slim cuts on the inlet and used two stainless steel pipe clamps to really crank down and squeeze the tip inlet on my exhaust pipe. It is not going anywhere. I am happy with how the product ended up fitting. It is very flush with the tail pipe (no air gap,) and matches my black truck. I can definitely hear a slight tone change around 2-4 thousand RPMs. Very satisfying, and cheap cosmetic modification. It didn't fit properly at first because I'm a buy first, think later customer. Make sure you know your dimensions, or do it like me ;)

My wife saw this on a Forester forum and thought it looked better than the very small, recessed, chrome trim on her 2025 Forester Touring. That is the top trim level in the US, I know other countries have different names for the various trim levels. The OEM trim ring Touring tailpipe is held in place by a welded bracket on the short pipe exiting the muffler at the rear of the car. Along with the bracket, the very end of the pipe swells out to a larger diameter to match the inside of the chrome trim piece. The larger diameter doesn't allow the new tip to slide on without removing all the hardware. The welded bracket doesn't allow the tip to slide all the way onto the pipe. Believe me, I know how this sounds as I type it. Cut the bracket off, slid the tip past the larger section and reassembled the hardware. Clamped it down and it looks very nice. Hope the black coating lasts.

I don't think this makes a drastic difference on the exhaust note, but it does modify it slightly. I think it smooth out the tone a bit. My only complaint is that over time, the outside will just sorta look dirty all the time and the inside seems to corrode as well. However, they're not super expensive, so you could replace them once a year and it not be a big deal.

Heads up folks! If you are buying this for a 2nd gen Tacoma please note a few things. One, don't expect this to change the sound of your exhaust, it does not...strictly a visual enhancement. Two, and most importantly, it will NOT fit your tailpipe with the provided hardware. Simply toss those little brackets. Next, what I did, is tek self tapping screws (3) into the tailpipe. It ain't going anywhere and looks fantastic.

I thought this tip was huge when i first received it. It is.. but it still looks good. the overall outlet diameter is pretty large but nothing to complain about. Fits to my 2” (actually 1.5”) exhaust pipe and i do actually believe it roars the sound a bit in a good way (if u have a good exhaust system) as it has some sort of “chamber“ on the inside. Good quality product for a exhaust tip. Came through right away and happy with how it looks. Had to get used to going from small pipe to this big tip on the end though. I will try to add a picture in here soon of mine.
