As a T1D, quality, comfortable shoes are a must-have. Because I've worn Keen shoes for quite a while, I decided to give these a shot. I consider this style to be my sneakers, and I wear them al.ost every day.I don't know where to start, so I'll go with the toe [box]; Wide, but not so wide that your foot moves around. Safety toe: these shoes have a carbon-fiber like cap, similar to what's known as 'steel-toe', but very light. The sides of the shoe fit well, but not tight. One thing thats critical to me, is the stability where the top of the shoe and the sole meet. The sole is cushioned, but without the side-to-side motion that you get with many of today's shoes. That not-moving part is very important, if you're trying to avoid a sprained ankle. All in all, these shoes are a strong 9. These shoes could be a 10 if they came with Keen's stay-tied laces.
