The temperature is bearable; it should not come as a surprise since it has a metal body; not aluminum, possibly stainless steel. This metal frame is also the reason why people prefer buying it since it is very sturdy and will not get crushed easily like its plastic siblings. The speed is good for USB 2.0.Overall, the product is fine; but in 2019 you've better options than this. Also, if you're like me & looking for an old-gen 8GB flash drive for someone you don't like, go for it.
