TUCAREST 6491 Starter Fit for Bu-ick Century/Chevy Impala Malibu Monte Carlo S10 Uplander/G-M-C Sonoma/Old Alero/Po-ntiac Montana [Starter Motor OE# 10465384 10465459 10465519 10465542 6481]

The starter appears to fit but it did not come with washers nor nuts and the fitment does NOT align with the original starter. So now we have to look for nuts to fit this new starter. At least design it where it will fit the original nuts/screws or send them with the product.How do you manufacture a product that does not align with the original and not send washers, nuts and screws???? That’s insane. That is extra work, time and money.I at least hope it works or it will be returned. And if we cannot find the proper nuts and crews it will be returned.

When I got the chance to try this 6491 Starter out, I could not say not because, although I do need to install this new starter just yet, the starter that is in my car currently is most likely nearing the end of it's working life.I don't remember exactly how many years ago it was now that I ordered a starter online for my 2004 Chevrolet Impala. It must be near to or more than five years ago I would think. I recall that when I received that starter the box had many languages written on it. I can only speak and read Engine so I have to admit that all of those new languages seemed very exotic to me!My son is a mechanic. He installed my current starter in my driveway for me all those years ago. It has been working perfectly ever since, however, it is getting on in years. I decided that since my current starter is likely to stop working at any moment, it would be good to have this new 6491 Starter on hand for a quick replacement.Before I ordered this new starter I made sure that it would fit my car. The information about my car and whether or not this starter would fit it was shown on the sales page. My car is a 2004 Chevy Impala with a 3.4 liter Vg Engine in it. Amazon verified that this 6491 Starter will fit my car.When I opened this 6491 Starter it looked smaller than I remember the other starter looking. I had my son take a look at it and he said it looks like the right size. I took this new starter outside and compared it to the old one that is under my hood. They look the same, and, the two wires that are attached to the starter on in my car match up with the areas that those wires will attach to on this new starter.As I am not able to test the performance of this 6491 Starter until my old one starter goes out, I will reserve one star from my rating. Once the old starter goes out and I get this new one is installed, I will update my review in regards to this starter's performance.Four stars.
