Non technical, honest ownership review.
I am by no means an audiophile. If you are reading this review, it's safe to assume you aren't one either. My need for a pc headset was very specific:1. Need that usb because analogue is a pain in the ***. This particular model does come with a 3.5 mm jack, which plugs into the usb adapter hyper X provides in the box. They advertise the virtual surround but I almost never find myslef using it or any of their other hardware buttons present on the adapter. The cable is braided and feels like your chair won't absolutely murder the wire should you decide to actually run over it.2. Comfort. Gamers tend to play at least a couple of hours. I find most in-ear buds (yuck) , on-ear headphones very uncomfortable. Even more so after using them for more than an hour. Thankfully these ones are over the ear. Means your entire ear is tucked by soft cushion resting around the ear. I have no discomfort even after using these for 7 hours (yes I tested).3. Build quality. It's really good. The cable is braided. The frame is metal/alloy and it doesn't bend. The cushion is great and hyper X packages it with a fabric option. Nice touch. The headphone feels premium and classy.4. Durability.Honestly, the usb adapter on my headphone stopped working , hyper X got it replaced at no charge. Other than the wonky cable, nothing else seems to be suffering from any kind of wear and tear or any visible signs of detoriation. I have been using it for almost 2 years. Mostly at my desktop and at times as travel companions for flights.5. Sound.Okay, this is where it gets more subjective than other categories. To me, the sound is good. Maybe even great. The bass is thumpy, the vocals are crisp and music and games both sound pleasant to my ear. Im not going to comment on lows, mids and highs since I really can't tell the difference. I recommend if sound is your biggest priority when buying headphones. Try these before committing to buy them. The muffs provide a good deal of sound dampening without actually giving you a headache like the audio technica m50x. The don't squeeze against your skull. For gaming , you should be looking no further in headphones that offer a complete package. But if sound design, music is your thing, you might want to go with something better suited for that field.

Awesome Powerful Drivers!
I think this is the best over the head earphone I ever had.Previously I owned JBL 650BTNC with ANC (40 mm drivers) and listening music with it was in ok to good range. But after using Hyperx cloud 2, my perception about headphone has changed. The 53mm drivers of cloud 2 give a high quality sound ,suited for both gaming and listening music.Cloud 2 drivers have a very good capabilities. I had to tune it to lessen the volume and also I configured it to follow the Harman curve. I used "Equalizer APO" and configured it to have frequency response similar to the Harman curve with slightly bass boosted settings, and the output is awesome. The mic is ok. I have tested in Microsoft teams and the other teammates were able to hear me clearly.Hence I would definitely suggest the CLoud 2. No doubt its on the fav list of almost every gamer.Only complaint is at this price point there is no ANC feature. And has only ok sound isolation.

Great Purchase (Cloud Core 7.1) read this if you have a high preference to base.
I got these Hyper x Cloud Core 7.1 headphones and am happy with my purchase. This is my first Hyper x Product. The comfort is superb, I used them continuously for 4 hours without any discomfort and I even wear glasses.Even though the headcups aren't rotatable they don't cause an issue to comfort. The headband is a little on the shorter side, I have to extend the aluminium size adjusters to the maximum to fit my head but I do have a huge skull so it's fit your head. The sound quality is very nice, it's what you would expect from 53 mm drivers. The highs and lows, treble is up to the mark.BUT the BASE is a little disappointing, it does not have that thump behing it but seeing that it's a gaming headphone, it's suited for games. The base isn't super loud but it's enough to enjoy casual media. The noise cancellation is not very good, when you are on full audio you wouldn't be able to hear people talking next to you but if they're loud then you can clearly hear them.I think the sound could have been a little louder. I got a 3.5mm cord splitter. The default cable length of the headphone is a little more than the distance between your extended arms. But with the splitter it's very long. I didn't measure it but it's enough for you to move around is an averagely sized room i.e it's very long. You also get a DTS spatial audio subscription which I'm eager to try out.Overall these headphones are awesome, the base could have been louder but very good for gaming.
