The instructions were sent with the 2 sets of laces. You receive the actual tops and thinner threader laces. The rope laces are cotton and a little ashen. I'll look for silkier version for my next pair.

These laces are thick and sturdy. They come with some small plastic sleeves that I assume can be used to make the ends easier to lace. They are made from a sturdy material. They worked nicely in a pair of boots.

I absolutely LOVE these shoe strings. I haven’t used the chunky pair yet, as they came with a smaller pair that were the same color and much needed for my everyday LUGS sneakers. I love that they give a little extra length compared to the standard Lugs strings that were in my shoes and the dark purple is a beautiful contrast to the light purple accents of my shoes. The black and purple combo is perfect! They’ve held up well (my factory strings messed up on day one) and seem to be made of high quality material. Definitely a recommend for anyone wanting to change their shoe look, I’m looking forward to using the chunky ones as soon as I pull my other shoes out of the closet.

The rope laces are almost the thickness of the tie for my bathrobe. The rope laces don't look like they'll go through the washer and dryer very well, but they are easy to hand wash. The smaller laces went through the washer and dryer just fine with my sun hat. They're soft cotton and feel very strong. For my needs, these have been an exceptionally good solution to an annoying problem.

These laces work well but also not. They have a thin shoelace that you loop around through the shoe holes, with some very unclear instructions and then the thicker one that you loop into the thinner lace creating a very undesirable look that just honestly looks like a mess of knotted green barf. I tried to do my best to match the way the tiny photo examples showed but honestly it was not going well. I'm highly disappointed because I thought they would go on like normal shoe laces. Then my son saw them so I had to leave it on and It just doesn't look as clean as the display photo. I tried several ways to re-do them. But it is what it is.Also the actual quality of the bigger lace was poor, it tried to un-weave on me.

The laces came with clear instructions on how to achieve the displayed look. The second pair of thinner laces could even be used alone. I feel that even though the weave of the laces is looser as long as you aren’t using the big thick laces to skate or something hard on them there shouldn’t be an issue. I like the light grey. It’s very neutral and matches everything.
