Fluid Audio Fader Series F5 Studio Monitors - Pair

Just received and tested, sounds perfect, mids-highs-low is perfectly balanced. Recently 1 speaker stopped working.. now where to go..

These are great speakers with very balanced sound accross the frequency. They do not try over brighten any high frequencies or over do any low freq. I think they are just between jbl 305 and hs5 sound signature.Packing and accessories: They come in pair with double box with power cord for each speaker. Also they give isolation stickers which we have to attach manually.Design: Design is good and classic with front port. Build quality is very good. The speciality of this speaker is the front placed slider volume control. To control the volume this slider has predefined stops which makes balancing the two speakers easy. Power button is at backside. These do not have any high or low freq or room control adjustability. But these are so well optimized with adequate sound pressure that I think these are not necessary for almost all room sizes with near field use. Also they have auto standby when there is no sound signal.Sound: Very much optimized sound across frequency. It has some weight around mid bass with smooth highs and natural mids so it makes sound non fatigue to listen for hours.BASS/Lows: Bass is very tight across the volume. It has some weight in mid bass but not boomy which gives its unique characteristics and pleasing/non dry sound. So music does not sound hollow like some speakers. It does not resolve much details in bass freq region as some high end speakers do. But its more then adequate. For sub bass you need woofer.Mids: They are some what near to brighter side but not over bright like yamahas.Its natural and nicely balanced with other frequencies.Highs: super clear and airy. They are also non fatigue. Resolving details are satisfactory.Soundstage and Imaging: Sound stage is above average and imaging is fantastic for the price. This type of imaging capability for their first speaker really shows how much effort have has gone into it. Soundstage and imaging tuning is the most difficult aspects of speakers development.Overall they are very very balanced. They do not shine or excels in any of the frequency nor bad in any of the frequencies. They just reveal the sound defects smoothly without zooming or overexposing the defects in sound. So people in Fluid for f5 have made a balancing act and these speakers are professional in every way.Update: One speaker stopped working. We have to send to service center in chennai with our expense. And also keep your bill safe for a year. But quality of service is good. I think when you take in pair one of them they are selling is defective. Luckly it was under warranty. So better go for yamaha or jbl which has india wide service centers.

Nice monitors, been using for a year now, no problems at all. Although the high's are on a brighter side you can control it through the fader given, butthe fader is not for high's its for all bands, its for overall reduction and gain. If your sitting quite near to it then you should adjust the fader to ( -18) db.

One speaker is not working. After switching on power of one speaker there is no light on and sound working. What to do?

I just mix my own songs for fun, but these are really great monitors for the money. Very flat sounding, easy to mix on, and don't give me ear fatigue like the JBLs I used to own. I'm really impressed by these. And they also get SUPER loud too..I wasn't expecting that.

So far so good. Ill try to write more after z I've use them.

I truly love these monitors. They are rather small sized for the great sound they deliver. I also love that they automatically shut off while no sound is being played on them for some time to conserve energy and heating. Smart design!
