Raspberry Pi 3 Model B 1 GB RAM 1.2 Ghz 64-Bit Quad Core Arm CPU With 802.11N Wifi And Bluetooth -The Complete Kit (With Black Case LW)

I always wanted to tinker with a Raspberry Pi, and i selected this kit as it has everything you need to protect, install and get it up and running. It came with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, which has integrated Wifi and Bluetooth. This one has a 64 bit processor and 1GB of ram. The kit contains a black case for protecting the pi3, an SDCard which had the NOOBS Os installer, with the option of Raspbian which is a variation of the Debian Linux distro. A HDMI cable to hook it up to your monitor or TV, a Lan cable for networking or administration. Setting up was easy, and i was up and running in minutes. All existing tutorials and projects work with version too, even though its a new variation. I worked on the Google Assistant Library provided by google, and it worked almost without a hitch, but it worked at the end. A plethora of projects are available online.

The packaging was good, The accessories were great too but I have received the wrong colour case and damaged SD card slot on the PI! I have requested a replacement from Amazon, Hope the upcoming product is good.

Raspberry Pi is wonderful for hobbyist. This kit came in a small box, much lighter than I was expecting. Except for the USB charger wire, everything worked fine. Amazon gave credit for the defective wire right away when I complained. I needed to get a USB powered hub, its 5V adapter, and a disk drive (I already had a spare one) to build my Music server. Works great. EDIT: I have been facing power supply issues. The supply provided is resulting in Under-Voltage errors in syslog. RPi seems very finicky about the quality of power it receives.

I bought Pi kit for my son. He was having his exams so he didn't open it. He opened it a day before yesterday but it does'nt work. The red light glows. The official return date is past, so cannot even return it. Total waste of money We realize, SD card may not have NOOBS as claimed. We downloaded NOOBS to the card & loaded in Pi3. But still does not work. Amazon you should not have this kind of sellers in our marketplace. Buyers beware, you're at your own risk

The product packaging was nice and neatly organised. There is however issue with adapter, while it is a 5v rated power brick, it does not supply 5v consistently and the raspberry pi was struggling due to under voltage and throttled. This needs to change in the package to deserve a better rating

an HDMI monitor (terminal) , keyboard and mouse (both usb) have to be added first. A Solid State Drive (SSD) too. I added a sata 3 120 gb ssd with a USB to SATA adaptor. Working fine. This review is from the raspberry desktop. Now plan to go ahead to IoT experiments. Since there are no rotating disks, accidental power offs do not matter. Packages for raspbian (the OS) can easily be downloaded. Installed ArtOfIllusion, GIMP, Xfig etc. The documentation has to be searched and obtained from the Internet. Not much documentation with the Raspberry Pi kit. Had to use other computers before the Raspberry became the desktop.

Great value for money product! Comes with the OS installed on the SD card. Good build quality overall and the case along with the Pi is a must have. Accessing the GPIO pins in the case can be cumbersome so you might want to use a different one in case you work on that.
