Reviewing after using 4 years. No complaint. Good Sound. Excellent product.

Basically Good radio.Sound is little bit terrible.Fm working good in Adopter but mw sw working only in battery, But am using solar power 6v plate to use that radio working good all bands.Signal reception good in sw fm,in fm i received remote stations first time to using this radio.Narrow band makes fine tunes.Awesome aerial facility. But aerial not coverd by mw band its bad.AC adaptor not provided by amazon.

Pros:Clear Reception at least during a week usage of my friends radio set of exact same make, however mine had more issues like non functional battery cover deformed speaker grill and more, have asked for return, let see.I will share feedback about reception which is all any radio is about.Loud sound with clear reception, short wave reception under wide open sky is much better than ordinary radios, indoors you can not expect sw band to working well.All these cons or issues are usually true with most Indian local radio manufactures though never expected with Phillips. They should charge a premium but deliver a quality item which speaks itself from build quality as well.Cons:1. Build quality of casing is below par.2. Battery casing at the back does not fit well.3. In my item front speaker grill was also distorted4. No power adapter is another drawback.Looks like some low quality plastic mold used.5. Phillips never sold such low quality build items6. TV band is almost non functionalOver all does not feel like usual philips quality does its job as for reception is concerned however build quality cheap and unfinished mold quality of plastic will kind make it look n feel cheap, that raised doubts about its authenticity , on the top of that the product does not come with any manual, warranty cards that usually most genuine philips products would carry.Verdict on a scale of 10FM reception 8/10MW 8/10SW 9/10 under open skyTV 3/10External Build quality 1/10

Best in sound and reception quality far above from panasonic and sony. Outstanding performance in every bands such as MW FM TV but SW insome extent. I think SW programs/broadcast are day by day reduced or may not reach to the set. MW and FM takes it's place. The only things where improvement reduced are ordinary cabinet,no dial light,no transformer,no rechargeable battery, no blue tooth or USB support and the antenna is not placed in right position may be little front or back for free movement of handle. Still I like it's very low price i.e,below 1300/- and overall quality. The most remarkable future is it's signal receiving quality with less noise disturbance.

pros :was able to catch the fm anywhere inside the home which other radios struggledaudio is very clear and loud as welldelivery was on the same day and packing was decentcons:terrible build quality, the volume and tuning knobs will come off any timebatter opener doesn't fit wellfor this price, at least Philips should give adapter. In this case no adapter and non batteries, you have to buy them all yourselfthe station range mentioned is out of context, thats a paper which doesn't match with indicator

I am a Radio Enthusiast, listening to shortwave far stations and dissecting old AM circuits is my hobby. So i have tested this product in my own way.reception quality for FM : good For FM, sensitivity is good for FM. FM antenna connection has been connected to an external dipole antenna, so you will need to extend it all the way every time you want to tune into an FM station.Reception quality for Shortwave: i have tried dimantling the coil of ferrite antenna on this Radio, coil is wounded very cleanly. but coil length is toooo short, above 45 metres reception is very bad. Signal gain increases a bit when you extend antenna to its full. sensitivity for shortwave is not at all good. weak stations are not at all herable.Reception quality for Medium Wave:- Medium wave will only work at night, that to if you have no electrical interference at room.TV band:- not at all useful, because analogue TV signal services have been suspended by Prasar Bharti. so nothing to explore heresound: nice speaker, sound is good for all the bands(if you have strong signal)

This is best radio i ever seen in this price. I got it at 1249rs, is contain 9nly radio you should be buy battery from local market it not contained charger. The sound quality is good and the volume control is good the tuning function is good in work. It have FM, SW, MW, TV BAND. My grandpa is very happy to using it. Thank you amazon for delivering this good product.
