Great for Kali Linux, but Overpriced The Archer T4U works flawlessly in Kali Linux—no driver installation needed. It supports AP mode, packet injection and monitor mode, making it perfect for security testing. Speed and range are impressive, but the price feels high. If you need reliable performance for Wi-Fi testing it's a solid choice, though a bit expensive.

Pros: 1. Easy to install - cd/download 2. Sleek - doesn't obstruct hand when typing 3. Excellent network reception 4. Both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz 5. USB 3 6. WPS push button 7. 3 year warranty 8. Portable Cons can be ignored when compared to the pros... that's why I gave rating of 5/5: 1. Glossy finish to gets smudges 2. No USB 3 extension I'm using it with my Laptop & Jio Fiber connection. Wifi router is in my living room. I use the laptop in the guest bed room. Previously with 2.4Ghz network I used to get max 30Mbps. Now I get close to 250Mbps on the 5Ghz network. A must have for all those using laptops without 5Ghz option in Wifi.

Stopped working in the 13th month. Verified the issue with 2 other laptops. Additionally, past few months was facing a repeated issue where it would not detect the network and had to run the troubleshooter each time or disconnect/reconnect again or ultimately restart the system. Had reinstalled the drivers but no change in the issue. Sometimes I have noticed that it was shutting down and had become extremely hot to touch. Distance from modem to device is less than 5 meters.

We have a 5G Wi-Fi modem in our hall and I have always used Ethernet when it comes to a desktop but the task of wiring from hall to my bedroom with out making it look ugly was frustrating, not to mention maintaining the look is also hard. When I decided to go wireless I was sceptical at first, as I always believed Ethernet was stable and reliable. But I decided to try it anyway, this decision turned out to be surprisingly amazing. Speed: We have a 200mbps connection and when I connect it through Ethernet I get around 210-215Mbps Down and around 200-205Mbps Up, which I never complained as its plenty for my use, going the wireless route has given me the speeds up to 201 Down and 193 up which is a negligible drop and this is when my bedroom door is locked, so pretty good. Installation : Reading the manual at first I was worried abt downloading the software as I removed my Ethernet cable but with out any software pre installed, it just worked just like a laptop, I never understood the need of a dedicated software so if any one know the advantages please comment, I would love it. Price : I went with the USB 3.0 AC1300 which when I bought was around 1800 which is a good bargain, it’s been a week of use so I’ll update if I find any faults in future. Peace.

If you're using Linux it'll take you a good whole day to figure out the right drivers. Stackoverflow has some outdated answers and you'll get there with trial and error. No problems once you get there. EDIT : This is absolutely the best wifi adapter you can find, it outperforms the wifi adapter built in the MacBook Pro by a serious margin, speedtest results with everything the same except switching the adapters got me over three times speed gain. NOTE : Using it paired with MU-MIMO router yields the best results, I have Archer C2300.

If you are looking for a long range receiver for your PC look no further, Been using it for a month now and I haven't had any issues wrt connectivity or signal loss. It supports both 2,4ghz and 5ghz bands and is amazing when paired with an MIMO supported router as well. I am able to get a good signal even beyond 2 rooms i.e. 2 walls which would be otherwise impossible with the tp-link nano receiver I had earlier. Overall a great product both with functionality and design. The only CON i could find was that it blocks my other USB 3.0 port because it is quite wide. This was solved with a usb female extension cable. Also to be really picky, the finish is gloss that attracts dust and scratches. In a desktop, this won't be the case because you would have it permanently connected, but for a laptop this would be an issue.

Funciona a la primera y sin instalar nada. Gran estabilidad en la conexión y perfecto. Windows10. Compré uno hace 3 años, me ha funcionado siempre genial y he vuelto a comprar este otro cuando me he ido a la casa del pueblo.

Ho preso questo prodotto perché il mio notebook ha la scheda wifi danneggiata e prima di pensare alla spesa di un nuovo notebook ho voluto provare l'alternativa. Sono già fedelissima alla marca Tp-link perché già uso dei wifi repeater e mi sono sempre trovata benissimo, ma di questo prodotto davvero sono contenta. Installazione abbastanza facile, e cmq aiutata dalle istruzioni. L'ho configurato abbinandolo al mio router direttamente dal PC attaccato via LAN e accoppiato così. Di per sé funziona ed è anche molto stabile. Prende la rete 5ghz dal router che è in un'altra stanza separata da un ulteriore stanzino (quindi due pareti) ed è anche molto stabile. Purtroppo non la sfrutto a pieno perché il notebook non è più performante quindi ogni tanto si blocca e per fare ripartire la chiavetta devo riavviare il PC (colpa del PC). L'ho infatti attaccata a un mini PC che ho e lì nn ho riscontrato nessun problema. Direi quindi che sono pienamente soddisfatta ma quasi non avevo dubbi con questa marca. Lo consiglio!

The product was easy to install, I simply followed the instructions. The signal is great, however in the past few weeks my internet has randomly been cutting out. It's only happening to me in my house, so it has to be this. Unfortunate, especially as I don't have any option but to use it.
