Great gimbal alternative
This works like a much more expensive gimbal as it has a rotating vertical plate when used in vertical position.

Well made
Just what I was looking for.. and it works smoothly and well!

strong, robust build, panning bottom and top, includes plate. Ball movement feels a tiny bit rough
PROS-decent quality ballhead (I have the smaller KH-20): strongly holds a Nikon Z9 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (tripod plate mounted on lens foot)-panning action on both bottom and quick release platform (movement is quite smooth)-single knob for locking the ball is large enough to be comfortable (may be a bit difficult to grip with gloves on in the winter)-included arca-swiss plate-knob to control upper panning action is flat, much easier to turn than the other (round) knobsCONS-movement of ball is little bit rough (just a faint sense of roughness in the ball/clamp interface)-only one cutout for 90 degree positioning-no tension adjustment for main locking knobMY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Fits the tripod
Ordered this as a replacement to my existing tripod head, and it fits the tripod perfectly on size, how it works and also the weight it takes. No complaints so far thank you.

Great product, but how to buy additional QR plates?
This is a very well designed and manufactured product. I've fitted it to a Sirui monopod, and am very pleased with it. The only problem I have (and why I can't yet give 5 stars), is that I can't find any replacement quick release plates. (It's easy to lose plates, so venturing in to the field I need to carry spares) It uses a 38mm ARCA-style plate, but those available from other retailers do not fit. I've tried to contact Sirui, but to date no success.

I made the right decision
I recently placed an order for a full set of Siriu cine lenses direct from the manufacturer, sight unseen, based on countless reviews I have read or watched.Still, I had a nagging doubt as they are still in transit, so when this was offered to me for review I was more than eager to see if it was hit or miss.If the quality of the lenses comes close to this then I have definitely spent wisely, this is machined to perfection with a silky smooth head which is sublime to use.It may be my first Siriu item but, the already ordered lenses aside, I suspect it won't be my last!

Not easily adjustable to different arca plates
This tripod head appears well made.It has one major design flaw that it uses a quick release cam to lock the arca plate rather than a screw mechanism. The problem is that arca plates vary ever so slightly in size. This cam locking mechanism cannot deal with the slight variation in size (without carrying a hex key to adjust the cam !!). This means that it will clamp one plate tightly , another will slide about and a third you can't close the cam.

Great idea - poorly executed
A ball head that fits an Arca plate using a cam, rather than screw, lock should be a great tool. It should be so much quicker to lock the camera in place than a screw-lock. Only it isn't.I largely use Peak Designs Arca plates and Three Legged Thing right angle brackets. The locking mechanism has to be slackened off to fit the Peak plate and the Three Legged Thing brackets. When I use a Chinese-made Arca plate, I then have to tighten up the locking mechanism using the supplied Allen Key.It's such a pain that I've gone back to using screw clamp heads.
