Nice speckle, not TOO fiery
If you want a stone that is pure fire, go for a higher price point. These stones are rare and therefore can cost up to 80 dollars for a nice yooperlite specifically, but I had 0 issues with this one. the 2 oz is the perfect palm size if you have small hands like me, great addition to my collection! Awesome to compare in daylight vs at night with UV, I reccommend 365 nanometers(nm) of UV rays, see pics for my exact rough as received.

Great quality! Get a good UV light for full effect
The stone I got has awesome orange flare in it. Keep in mind the beauty of these stones depends on the quality of your light. There are different levels of UV light, so if you get the cheaper $5 to $10 light you will not see the brilliant orange colors. The more purple image shows the stone with the cheaper light, you see mostly purple light that drowns out the vibrant color. What you want is the filtered UV flashlight, you can get it for $30-$50 on Amazon. It filters out most of that purple light so you can see that vibrant orange color.

Not accurate color scheme
It does take a decent UV light to bring out the colors. Also, weak or off brand batteries may not allow the flashlight to be luminous enough

Awesome
This is pretty cool. But to get the best, brightest color you cannot use a cheap ol black light. That's the only bad thing about this but worth it my daughter loves it.

Don’t be tricked.
Mine arrived and it had zero gold glow. It did have a little light pink glow, was not worth it at all. Looks like zero of the pics. Don’t waste your money. Very disappointed.

Not sure...
I bought a blacklight to go with this. The rock did not glow like the picture. I found that I have to buy a special flashlight costing nearly a $100 to see the glow. I'm a little disappointed that the description says UV light and does not note the additional requirements.

Great gift for our rock hunting son
My 30 year old son loves rock hunting the Michigan shores of the Great Lakes, but he has never found a Yooperlite. So he loved receiving this as a Christmas gift along with a UV light we also bought for him.The stone looks fantastic and is worth every penny we paid for it.

What is needed-0
After you receive the stone, you find out a $95.00 flashlight is recommended. I bought a plain UV flashlight and while it works the other kind would probably make the stone glow more. I am sure our granddaughter will still like it but she would have been more impressed to see a stronger glow.
