Best bottles I have ever owned. I have been using Tupperware bottles for the last decade and they have never disappointed me with their quality.

5-stars for Tupperware water bottles rated PP no.5
Tupperware Aquasafe Water Bottle Set, 1 Litre, Set of 4, MulticolorFirst off, let me start by saying that the SAFEST food storage containers are glass... but as we all know this is easier said than implemented. Glass is heavy and breakable; hence impractical. Not to mention, it is generally more expensive than plastic due to production being more energy intensive. However, glass is the trusted and proven packaging for health, taste and the environment - being 100% recyclable and reusable endlessly with no loss in quality or purity. It is also the only widely-used food packaging granted the U.S. FDA status of “GRAS” or Generally Recognized As Safe – the highest standard. So what about plastics, and how many types are considered 'food grade'?No. 1 (PET) : Polyethylene TerephthalateNo. 2 (HDPE) : High Density PolyethyleneNo. 3 (PVC) : Polyvinyl ChlorideNo. 4 (LDPE) : Low Density PolyethyleneNo. 5 (PP) : PolypropyleneNo. 6 (PS) : PolystyreneNo. 7 (OTHER): plastic resins not described aboveThere has been a lot of contention about the Resin Identification Code (or recycling no.) and the effects of dyes and colours wrt food safety. But the general consensus is that nos. 2, 4 and 5 are considered 'food grade' and safest for use and reuse.^^PP is known to have a high heat tolerance making it unlikely to leach chemicals. Similarly, ^^HDPE and ^^LDPE are claimed to be free of the common plastic toxicant Bisphenol-A (BPA). However, most plastics have been found to release estrogenic chemicals. So again, the ideal food and water storage containers would be glass."In the end you've got to balance all the issues. I would think that many bottles are safe to use, even PET ones. The only one I would advise against are PVC and polycarbonate," concludes Professor Michael Moore who was also Chair of Water Quality Research Australia.(( above data sourced through online research ))But what is an average joe to make of all this and what is the safest alternative to glass? He must hazard a calculated guess and take a leap of faith - as it were, and hope for the best.Enter Tupperware Brands Corporation (founded 1946, with over 70 years of experience in manufacturing plastic food-storage containers).Despite my best efforts to find another 'food grade' or 'colourless plastic' brand, my search always led to Tupperware. As you can see, the base and neck of the bottles are NOT CLEARLY stamped with the RIC but it appears to be no. 5. The inside of the cap is clearly stamped with no. 5. However, almost all other alternatives use PET no.1 plastic. When I weigh the pros and cons incl. long term user ratings, availability and cost; Tupperware is the clear winner.I purchased a set of 1LTR X 4bottles for INR 685.00 and another set of 500ml X 4bottles for INR 430.00These bottles are very sturdy with the neck and base of the bottles being thicker than the rest of the body. The caps have a soft feel of rubberized plastic and are very easy to use with the 'tab'. Tupperware recommends rinsing the bottles with boiling water periodically and also to store water ONLY (no milk, juice etc.. to avoid odour). The 500ml bottles are small and good for children or a short trip out of your home.In conclusion, avoid prolonged exposure to heat like microwave, leaving it in the car, etc..Happy hydration and live healthy!

ambiguous product.
i received the product in perfect condition.looks very sturdy and beautiful.as claimed notched cap is useful for opening and closing, brand name is clearly embossed, translucent body enables us to confirm the quality of liquid, ergonomic design ensures easy holding and carrying.so all in all most claims are justified by this premium brand.pet that is number one plastic is generally considered safe but can leach or form bacteria,so better to avoid it for higher temperatures and prolong usage.pp that is no 5 is considered safer bet as it has better heat resistant properties(still avoid higher temperature on all plastics).of course safest bet is not to use plastics at all but stainless steel.anyway now coming to the strangest part.the bottles that i received are perfect in every way other than the most important aspect.like i said pp5 are considered safest but i would have tolerated pet1 also from tupperware as they are known for bpa free and food safe plastics.but at least a company as big as tupperware should have basic honesty and transparency about their products.the numbers inside the triangle at the bottom of the bottle cannot be read.try as hard as i could i could not make out the number inside the triangle.like other reviewers mentioned ergonomic and leak proof design is secondary.first of all is safety which is really doubtful here.so all in all not a satisfactory buy for me.

It's great quality and worth every penny.
It came with 4 different colors as promised.I see some reviews saying that the quality is not good, but I have a different view. I already have two Tupperware 1L bottles that were more than 3 years old. When comparing with that bottles, this feels light, more transparent. (Which may get the feeling that the quality is not good or sturdy) But I must say that it is able to handle hot water just fine, while washing it. I use this bottle for refrigerator and keep it at my desk. I don't use this for hot water. (Be it Tupperware or any other PET bottles, I don't use that to fetch hot/warm water). I have a vacuum steel flask for that purpose. Those who want to use for the purpose of office/home use, go for it, it worth every penny.I don't recommend using a Tupperware for travel purpose (car/train/bus), because it may expose to direct sunlight without your notice and it may contaminate your water, you may never know. Keep it indoors.
