20 meter PVC Coated Steel Anti-Rust Wire Rope Washing Line Clothesline with 2 Plastic Hooks (Multi Color)I am writing a review for this product - PVC Coated Steel Anti-Rust Wire Rope Washing Line Clothesline. The product was delivered in an original and pristine condition. I am extremely pleased with this product as it is extremely durable and can support the weight of many just washed clothes. The product can be used for several other purposes related to ropes and cords and I recommend this product for those people who are looking for solutions for hanging clothes and or other purposes.

I have been using such ropes for past 5 years, purchased from store99 etc, and am sure about the benefits of PVC coated metal ropes. These ropes have the strength of entwined metal strands inside while smooth PVC coating outside makes it water proof and prevents erosion of metal inside. My residence is very near to a busy main road and hence dust accumulates on whatever materials kept outside. Earlier we were using conventional nylon ropes for the clothesline, but dust used to accumulate between the strands of nylon rope and cleaning it was a messy affair. Sometimes washed clothes put out for drying on these ropes got smudges of dirt due to dust accumulated on the rope. Here comes the other advantage of using the PVC coated metal rope, cleaning it is very easy due to its smooth outer surface, just run a cloth over the rope and it is ready for drying clothes!Apart from the utility, another aspect worth mentioning is that the rope which I used to get earlier from my local store was clear and clean in appearance, in contrast this one had somewhat brownish hue and was a bit oily on touching, which I had to clean before putting it into use! From the seller's posting I assume that the yellow coloured PVC is superior to a clear one, eventhough it does not affect its utility!Feedback : Seller sent me a 10 metre rope while I had paid for a 20 metres one. I got in touch with the seller and he promptly refunded me half the money admitting the error. However it is my advise to measure the length of the rope before putting it to use, because this error can happen again and go un-noticed if you are not careful.

Well, the product is good. It's good built quality.But keep in mind1. you need something sharp to cut the wire clean else wire will become a disaster for your hands. It will give you a wound. I ended up wondering my hand because of unclean wire cut. I had to buy a wire cutter for just this product and it cost around Rs 400. So keep in mind that wire inside the PVC pipe is not easy to cut. It requires the right tool for a clean cut.2. If you cut this rope, you will not get more hooks to use for the rest of the rope. Only 2 hooks are provided with the rope which is kind of stupid as the rest of the rope becomes useless. You will either have to buy hooks in bulk (50 or more hooks in a packet) or your rest of the rope is going to bite the dust.Therefore, I would rather suggest going for a plastic rope instead.

The string is too springy. It loosens up pretty fast and sags hopelessly. By the time you hang up your clothes, it sags and nearly touches the ground unless you tie it up where a normal person can't reach.

Exact 20 metres in length, a but thinner than it has been mentioned, otherwise product fits the description, by the look of it, it looks sturdy enough and the PVC layer does not melt at 42°c even (as my locality witnesses it every day during summer). Only time will tell about durability. As of now satisfied with the product.Update @18/12/19. No it didn't last for long. So don't try this. Not suitable for long-term purposes.

when i re-ordered this product i was expecting the same colour wire rope. instead i got 3 different colours. the wording in the description led me to think that the plastic pegs were multi-coloured, not that the wire rope would be in different colours. the product is fine and i found a way to adapt but i just think the wording could be made more clear
