Usefull product worth of money

Inspite of its short lifespan, I still rate this 4 stars because of the outstanding value it offers (at least for me). 180 bucks for 8 months is around 20 bucks a month. Can I afford to spend 20 bucks a month? Yes I don't mind.I have two aquariums and bought two of these thermometers. Simple to use and pretty accurate.One of them is still working fine but the other has done wonky now. The temperature readings are off the charts. I have tried testing it in multiple environments with varying temperatures but in vain. Rest In Peace dear thermometer !!Winter is coming and this season is crucial for aquarium hobbyists. so I will buy another one.

they didn't provide me with a battery separately instead the item was already showing the display temperature, so I doubt they have delivered a used product.overall it's working accurately and quickly at reading temerature

Good quality

Bought this Thermometer for my aquarium in order to check the water temperature.For the first couple of months it worked really well! I was very impressed.Temperature reading was quite accurate, 1-2 degree up & down I felt was there but that's ok, acceptable in my opinion.But, after 2 months I observed the metal tip at the bottom started catching rust & problems started to arise. After catching Rust readings were randomly jumping between 33 degree to 75 degree.And after 2.5 months the thermometer completely stopped working & i threw away the product.Conclusion : For me, it lasted only 2 months properly hence not worth it in my opinion!

Valuable device, accurate temparature.

I like the no-frills, minimalist design. There's no button, no Fahrenheit scale, or other embellishment. It does what it's supposed to do- show the temperature. It's only as big as it needs to be. The power source is two button cells.Having said that, there are things that don't quite work. The display is horribly difficult to read, unless you look straight at it. It's not the brightness, but the contrast with the unlit digit arms is way too less. I also wish that there were a way to detach the probe. I don't even know how one is supposed to use it.The build quality is pretty cheap- unsurprising given its low price.All in all, unless you are looking to perform scientific research and just want a basic thermometer to measure the ambient temperature, go for it.
