These have worked surprisingly well. I use them to retain PMAGs in a modified TAPs rig. One handed re-indexing mags is very easy since it holds the pouch open as well. I feel comfortable running with the inserts as the only form of retention.

Threw em in a TAPS rig, they fit perfectly and work perfectly with both PMAGs and USGI steel mags.

Have been using them for a month now. They have picked up a small amount of abrasions on the inside from my mags. They hold the mags very tightly and stay inside of my mag pouch’s well. I have tried them on loose fabric pouches and elastic pouches, I find they work better on loose pouches. They tend to become too tight if used on elastic pouches. They do tend to become a problem on double stacked mag pouches as they press against each other while loaded. I would still buy them again if I ever needed more just note that they may not be the best fit for your pouches.

Used for my husbands gear. He likes them and it makes his mags come out easier. They fit good and they seem durable.

Not enough retention by themselves. Will only work depending on how rigid pouch is. If pouch is too soft the inserts do not have enough retention grab the mag. The plastic is too soft and mouth is open too wide.
