Great brand. Not the cheapest. Better quality.
Good quality. This brand didn’t have an offputting smell that the less expensive brands noted in the reviews. We gave the 15, 20, and 25 pound dumbbells as a set to a grandson in high school. He loves them and likes the octagon anti-roll feature plus the chrome hand grip. It was just what he wanted. We couldn’t decide on what kind of dumbbell holder would be best so we will get some input from him and get that for his birthday, But I think that would useful. You don’t want to stub your toe on these bad boys. BTW- the boxes all arrived with some damage to them, but upon opening, there was no damage to any of the dumbbells. Very happy with this purchase.

Reliable 25 lb dumbbells
This is my fourth set of dumbbells from CAP and they continue to impress me. The listed weight is accurate, and when I checked them on my scale one was only 0.1 pounds off, which is well within a tolerance I am comfortable with. The rubber coating does a great job protecting my floors in my garage gym and helps reduce noise when setting them down. I also like the feel of the handle since the texture gives me a secure hold and keeps them from slipping during heavier sets. The hex shape keeps them from rolling around between exercises, which is a simple but important feature. The size of the weighted, hex portion is good and allows for easy range of motion when performing exercises. They're definitely easy to use. They feel solid and well made, and I expect them to last a long time like my other CAP sets. I use them for presses, rows, lunges, and just about everything in my routine. The finish looks clean and durable right out of the box. For the quality you get, I think they are priced appropriately for the weight. I am rating these five stars because I would absolutely buy this set again.

Great Quality Dumbbells for Home Workouts. Durable, Comfortable, and Worth It
I purchased the Coated Dumbbells to add to my home gym, and they’ve been a solid investment. If you’re looking for reliable, well-made weights that don’t take up much space and feel great during workouts, these are a strong choice. What I liked: ✔️ Comfortable coating The rubberized coating is smooth, has a good grip, and doesn't feel slippery even when your hands get a little sweaty. It also protects floors and keeps noise down when you set them down. ✔️ Accurate weight & balanced feel Each dumbbell feels evenly balanced and true to weight. No wobbling, no awkward weight distribution — just clean, simple dumbbells that do their job. ✔️ Durable construction I’ve used them for strength training, HIIT circuits, and even my son has used them for wrestling conditioning. No chips, dents, or cracks in the coating. They hold up well even with frequent use. ✔️ Hex design = no rolling This is underrated, but the hex shape keeps them from rolling across the floor. Makes them great for push-ups, renegade rows, and switching between exercises quickly. ✔️ Affordable & reliable brand CAP has been around forever, and you can tell why. For the price, the quality is excellent and consistent. Things to know: 🔹 The coating can have a slight smell at first, but it fades after a day or two out of the box. 🔹 Make sure you confirm the pair/weight option when ordering — the listing has multiple choices. Bottom line: These coated dumbbells are a great buy for anyone building a home gym, training for sports, or needing dependable weights for everyday workouts. They’re comfortable, durable, and do exactly what you expect with no surprises. Highly recommend!

Top notch, as always
I used to compete semi-pro in bikini competitions. I was a member of a gym that offered Rogue weights. I was hit head on by a drunk driver & lost the ability to raise my right arm, move my neck well, & my upper back incurred damage so much that I could no longer lift or compete. For nearly 5 years, my right arm couldn't lift an empty cup of coffee. I had an in depth MRI done to my shoulders & it was determined that I could use my shoulders "as they'd allow" but not to be too optimistic. After years of PT, massage, chiropractic, & simply rest, nothing seemed to work. So I took off an entire year & did light stretching as my body would allow. Slowly, I started lifting weights again using the 5lb Cap dumbells. I started with curls because those kept my my shoulders stable & I could still build strength. I started with 6 reps x 3 sets. I increased every week up to 8 reps, 10, 12, then 15. At 15 reps x 3 sets, I increased the Cap weights from 5 up to 10lbs then reduced my reps back down to 6 x 3. I increased the reps up to 8, 10, 12, then 15 & increased the Cap weights again up to 15 lbs. Over the course of 3 years, I've rehabbed myself & currently use Cap dumbbells in both 15 & 25lbs for various movements. I can move my arms, neck, & back with little pain. Cap dumbbells are a perfect swap for Rogue & for the price, I prefer them. They have stainless, textured grip which means I don't have to wear gloves for my hands to hold the bar steady & the texture isn't so rough that I have to wear gloves to protect them. The lower weights have a slimmer bar whereas the 15lb+ weights have a thicker bar. I prefer the slimmer bar as I'm a woman & have smaller hands than my husband, who said he doesn't mind either one & the thicker ones fit his hands well. The weighted ends are covered in rubber so there is a very slight rubber scent of the product upon initial opening. It dissipates quickly. The dumbbells are incredibly easy to use. Just hold the bar in your hand & raise it to your preference. I can no longer raise them above my head as if to complete an overhead press but I can do a chest press (laying down either flat or at a slight angle) & press the weights upward from my chest. Remember that I couldn't hardly lift 5lbs. Now I'm pressing 25lbs. I really like the stainless bar as they rust, peel, or crack like like some coated products do & they're easy to clean. The optional various weights are nice to have for different moves. For the weights I have, I also bought the Cap A-frame dumbbell rack which holds 5 sets of weights. Had I known I'd respond well to my own training & would eventually buy more weights, I'd have opted for their 3-tier rack which holds about 1000lbs & 10 sets, which is nearly all the weight options. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the bar & rack, the coated weight, & their products as a whole. I think this is a pretty solid brand.

Smell. Otherwise good.
Seem as good as any of the Dumbells I’ve had. I like this style. Good price. They have a very strong toxic smell. I had to move them outside because the smell was filling the room. I do wonder how safe the material is or if I’m getting exposed to harmful chemicals. I feel bad for the ppl who make them.

Quality and price are great , dumbbell set .
What deal , great price , great dumbbell . The hand grips are knocked and tapered to fit my smaller hand for a guy. The rubber coated heads are nice so they don't clank on the floor. Very easy to use right out of the the box.
