Layer the warm liner jacket under the element-defying, super-wicking outer shell and you have an unstoppable combination designed to keep you warm, dry and comfortable when you are working hard in cold and wet conditions, worn separately, the two pieces become versatile outer layers of their own

Stiff and small - truly plus size should look elsewhere
Usually wear a 20-22. Bought the 3x after reading the reviews that sizing ran a little small. As others said both the shell and the inner lining independently fit fine. However, when put together (how'd I'd wear them most often) the jacket was too tight in the sleeves. And overall had a really stiff feel to it - just the opposite of what I needed as a new ski jacket. Luckily found a similar plus size Pulse jacket that was true-to-size, fit great, and had none of the stiffness for $50 less. So win-win!

Almost a perfect fit
I was looking for something that could stand against the harsh Chicago winter as well as the wet, cold weather of Germany in November. I figured you cannot go wrong with either a North Face or Columbia jacket because of the versatility. After months of online and in-store searching I settle on this jacket. This is a 3-1 interchangeable jacket: the warm fleece liner formed together with the waterproof shell provides for an excellent coat to brave through many harsh elements such as snow, wind, rain and hail, the fleece could be warn on its own to keep you warm in cool fall/spring weather and the waterproof outer shell makes a wonder raincoatNow the main problem with Columbia and most brands in general is they really don't get plus size right. Each piece on its own, in the size I chose, fits perfect...however combined the jacket is a somewhat stiff, tight mess. There is almost no real room in the arm area, as it seems to be much more proportionality off. The length of the jacket also leaves a bit to be desire, I am 5'2" and it does not cover my bottom at all. Hopefully over time I can break the jacket in and it will become less stiff and more comfortable.

Too Bad
The shell is sized correctly. The upper portion of the sleeves on the inner fleece jacket/liner are too small making the jacket unusable for a large size gal.

Very good quality
Really good one.

fit is off
Arms are too small, tight in the shoulders. When jackets are together they fit tight and it feels bunched up with no room to move. Rest of the jacket is ok.
