This did not work at all for my son who has trouble swallowing pills.

As even the instructions that come with it suggest, anything that isn't a simple coated tablet is likely to get stuck to the "grid" and then you are having to get it a somewhat moist and sticky capsule out to take the conventional way. So poor functionality, and not much value for the money compared to a cup.

Hard to use. Daughter was uncomfortable with the width of the straw. Didn't really work.

This product helped my son so much! He is 9 and neurodivergent. He started a couple medications that could not be crushed. We tried all sorts of tricks on swallowing whole pills from his dr, but he loved this straw the most! It did take about a week of practice, before he could get the hang of it. But now we just drop the pill in the straw and he is able to swallow it right away! Just ordered a second straw in case we lose the first one!

The one I received had a blue plastic top and the first thing I did, as instructed was to wash it thoroughly. I was going to leave it to dry but decided to roll up some kitchen roll and push it inside to dry it and when I pulled it back out I was disgusted to find this black stuff on the tissue so I washed it again then put a tissue inside again and twisted it around and still got this dirt or whatever it is out! I sniffed the tube and it smelt like metal. I put a cotton bud in and wiped that around and it came out filthy too! There is some kind of rust or something in that tube that won't come out and there is NO WAY I'm drinking out of that! It's just like a piece of metal piping! I paid too much money for this piece of crap that I thought would solve a problem that's plagued me for years. Very disappointed!

The med-hero is a great product, very useful for my 7-year old. Getting children to take medication is always challenging, and with this easy gadget my child made no fuss about the size of the pills or the taste. It was easy to use, I am considering getting one for myself! Easy to clean, easy to store, and I love that it is stainless steel. Highly recommend this to parents!!

The MedHero Straw is a good product that helps mask medicine and makes it easy to swallow. It takes a bit of practice to get the right mix, and works better with certain types of medication - but overall I think it’s worth the money. It was able to fit most of the pills that I take. Certain instances have been great where I didn’t feel the medication at all as I took it.
