Keeps my Gevi Pour Over machine clean!
The packets are huge so this will last years for my use. I use these with a pour over brew machine so it’s only 300ml, aka only like a 1/4 of the packet is needed for each clean. Great value for the money! Performs well and seems to keep my coffee tasting great.

It works pretty good
It seems to work pretty good. My coffee maker flows good after using these. In the past I have used harsher things to clean my coffee pot. Then I had to run several pots of water through the coffee maker afterwards, to make sure that all the harsh chemicals where all cleared out. So I thought I would try these. They seem to work just fine! You do have to run two pots through it afterwards (as instructed), but it's not 5 or 6 like I was doing before. So that's a time saver for me as well. There is no leftover bad taste or smell from using these, just a great cup of coffee. I knocked one star off because I do think it's a little expensive for what it is.

My coffee taste great after descaling my Duo!
We didn't waste ANYTIME using one of these descaler packs when they arrived at our home. We have a Keurig Duo with a stainless steel carafe so our solution did a double duty of cleaning the kcup and the drop section. It worked great! Our pot hadn't been cleaned for 2 months. Our water is rural water and pretty neutral as far as hard and soft goes. However, my coffee grounds are fine and very oily and it can build up on the machine pretty quick as we have coffee going through our pot all day. We did 5 runs through the pot (a little overkill as I don't think it requires that but whatever) and 3 12oz runs through the kcup section. We could tell it was working well by the color of the water as you could see the residue buildup in the water in the first 2 run throughs. Then we made our coffee and it was delicious! Having several on hand will be so nice for when my coffee starts tasting like my pot needs a cleaning again! And I don't have to worry about getting a vinegary taste.

Clean Your Coffee Maker, Friends
If you've never cleaned the inside of your coffee maker, I hate to tell you, but you're probably drinking mold. Or at the very least gross old coffee sludge. I have always just used white vinegar to clean the tank but that makes the house smell like I'm making easter eggs and if you don't run regular water through the coffee maker a few times you'll end up with vinegar-y coffee. Yuck. This stuff is by far easier to use and it doesn't stink up your house. When it was done there was crud in the bottom of the coffee pot so it definitely helped clean out some stuff. Just to be safe I did run an extra cycle of just plain water through the machine. Also there are some safety warnings on it as it is citric acid so just be careful handling it.

Important to descale especially with hard water.
These packets made the maintenance of my fancy espresso machine so much easier. It’s easy to run them through the cleaning cycle as directed. I ran a batch through my ice machine as well which meant I had to dump two tubs of ice, but the results were amazing. I noticed no aftertaste and this felt like a more natural approach than some other machine cleaning tablets or liquid I’ve used in the past. Perfect for all coffee makers, hot water pots espresso machines. The fact is there is yucky stuff accumulated and it’s hard to tell because it happens so gradually. You need this in your home to better maintain your appliances, and to keep everything clean for better health.

Great value for the price
When I first saw the price for the name brand descaler product, I was shocked to see how expensive it was. I resorted to using a 1 to 1 vinegar and water solution which does the job but sometimes it’s hard to get rid of the vinegar smell. Then I came across this product at a much more reasonable cost and will last two years if you descale every 3 months. This product is tasteless and odorless which already makes it much better to use over a vinegar solution. When to descale? My coffee machine told me it was time but they state that you’ll know it’s time to descale if there’s a build up of coffee stains, the brewed coffee tastes bitter, and the brewing process has slowed down.I used the instructions that came with my coffee maker to descale but the online instructions on the selling page is a good general instruction for most coffee makers. However, I don’t understand their step 5 which is to throw out half of your solution. I would use up all your solution before going to step 6. FYI, 1.5 liters of water is about 12 8oz cups.I went through the process but it is hard to tell whether or not it actually got that clean inside the machine. I did brew some freshly ground coffee afterwards and I have to say that it tasted delicious. I’ll just have to take their word that their product did the job.

Also worked well for my distiller
Where we live we have super hard water so I'm always on the lookout for things to bust limescale. Instead of pouring the normal water into my coffee pot, I used a distiller to get rid of the life first so I thought I would give this a shot in there. It says to use one pack for .4 gallons or two it=f it is really bad. So in my gallon distiller went 2 packs. This did really well on the side walls of it and cleaned the lime right on, the bottom was a different story as the lime was thick. I hit the bottom with one pack and a small amount of water and it did dissolve some of it but not all. I think if you are running this through your coffee pot and it's clearing the residual small ones off it does great, but if you are facing a brick of lime you need something stronger. All in all, what it is supposed to be used for seems like it would work well.

Great cleaner and no Vinegar smell or taste
First I checked with my manufacturer to make sure using this wouldn't nullify my warranty and it wont!I clean my coffee pot more often than recommended because I live rural and even though I have city water it's very hard and leaves a nasty film on everything. So usually I get out the vinegar and clean the pots but when I saw this I did some research and learned that mfg. usually prefer citrus acid over vinegar because there is no smell or vinegar residue and the coffee tastes better after using it. Well it's true this only took one time through although I did one rinse for good measure and the next day my coffee tasted fantastic. Great product, great value
