LAMY Z 50 Medium Nib Set - Black

I bought myself a new Lamy Safari, and within a week I managed to misjudge a distance, and rammed the nib into a hard wooden surface. I replaced the destroyed nib with the one off my old Lamy, the one I had replaced, but it scratched and caught, so I bought this. Happy, fluent, fast, writing is restored! I sit in panels and can take reams of notes, and using this keeps them legible, and allows me to keep a decent set of notes. Getting the "rammed on" nib off was a real challenge - but it had been jammed into soemthing very hard. Getting this one on was a doddle.

Easily replaced my old lamy safari F nib with this- after a few test paragraphs it now glides smoothly. I find it to be a great quick on-the-go drawing nib too. Not as thin as some other brand’s EF but it’s still a reliable, robust and user-friendly nib you can get for the price.

I'm giving this nib 4 stars because it's a pleasure to write with. I use it with my Lamy Safari, which came with a medium nib (which is actually quite fine and not wide enough for my taste). It's perhaps a little wider than I'd like (I'd prefer the medium nib to actually be a little wider - that one is not much wider than the fine nib, in fact) but it flows beautifully across the page and I'm enjoying writing with it. So the nib itself is a worthy addition to your Lamy nib collection - if, like me, you enjoy different widths for different things.However, I'm rather angry about having been totally ripped off here... The descriptions states that this is a 5 nib pack. I did think that was rather cheap, but as I only received ONE nib, it's in fact rather expensive! Someone else already noted this but I was in a hurry when I purchased and didn't read the comments, having already tried a Lamy wide nib in a shop to test it out. COME ON AMAZON - this seller is being dishonest. Get them to remove this or change the description. I couldn't be bothered to send it back but I'm not terribly happy at having been ripped off.

I had a medium tip on my Lamy fountain pen which wasn’t fine enough for my illustration work. This new tip is brilliant. Perfect for the fine lines that I couldn’t get with the medium tip. Highly recommended.

I bought this to upgrade my Lamy pen to better fit my handwriting style. The nib is perfect quality and game changing, smooth to write with and looks great.I had a problem that the first nib sent got lost in the post and never arrived, the customer service department was amazing and got a replacement sent out quickly. Highly recommended.

Writes great initially but doesn't last.

Was surprised to find that almost all Lamy pens have interchangeable nibs, so after switching to a planner with smaller writing area, I decided, as I love my Lamy Cp1 to just change the M nib rather than buy a whole new pen with an EF nib. Very happy and can easily be changed back if required!

Have had to throw this in the bin unfortunately.I bought it to replace a Medium nib I have on an existing pen, but when I started using it, it was just scratching the paper and was unusable - the ink was then just bleeding through the damaged paper. Upon closer inspection, this may have been a previously used item, as the nib had traces of ink on it before I fitted it to my pen, and the nib itself wasn't perfectly straight as it should have been.

My initial nib was damaged during transport but the seller replaced it quickly, very happy with customer support.

pennino per lamy safari e lamy joy, facilissimo da smontare e rimontare, robusto, preciso, sottile e sufficientemente morbido, nonostante sia extrafine. io lo uso sia per scrivere che per disegnare, su qualsiasi tipo di carta, e come tutti i pennini Lamy si dimostra un carroarmato. vale assolutamente la pena acquistarlo, anche perchè credo sia più o meno eterno.

La plume est facile à changer et l'écriture est très fluide. Rien à redire !
