Great little tool — super helpful!
I was surprised by how well this endoscope camera works for the price. The image quality is really clear, and the built-in light makes it easy to see in dark or tight spaces. I used it to check inside a wall and later to look into a small engine, and it worked perfectly both times. The cable is flexible but sturdy, and it connects to my phone without any issues. Overall, it’s a really handy gadget to have around the house. Definitely worth the $29.99!

Works as Advertised
This camera deserves a 5 star review because it is reasonably priced, well made, and worked straightaway as advertised with no technical issues in my experience. I downloaded the "Sup-Anesok" required iPhone app (which required some degree of trust on my part, I would say) which appears to be simple and functional. I had never used such a camera before, and I confess that there is a learning curve, perhaps steeper than I expected. The cable is indeed long and fairly stiff, so it can be maneuvered, however because of that length, it takes some skill to position it effectively, and to maintain it in that position. Also there is no indication of which direction "up" is on the camera, so one has to figure that out from the video image as seen on the phone, and position/rotate the camera/wire accordingly. I think that if the camera had a way to continuously rotate the image without having to rotate the whole cable assembly that might make things easier - perhaps that could be done by image processing on the app, since it does provide one control that rotates the image by 90 degrees in a single step, but I feel it would be easier to use if one could adjust it gradually instead. The camera head has no electrically conductive parts, which allows it to be used for inspecting electronic gear that is powered on, which is good. I tried using it for looking around behind racks of equipment, and it is effective, however as I said before, getting the camera head oriented and positioned so that you can understand what you are looking at takes a bit of practice. I tried checking our dryer vent pipe, and examined underneath some appliances, and again it definitely shows you an image, but it can take a bit of thought to figure out what you are looking at. The app also provides up to 2.x magnification which is nice, as well as the ability to load an image that one can use to compare the live video against (e.g. to verify a certain condition). The LED lighting is adequate but not overpowered, so for my use cases the images tended to be on the darker side; having said that, the product instructions are clear that the intended distance maximum is 10cm, and when it is positioned very close to the subject like that, it seems adequate. All in all, if you need what this product does, it will do it for you.

Side camera access info not obvious. Shorter camera would get more places
Two primary features attracted me to this endoscope, the side camera and the magnet attachment. The magnet attachment will only hang onto light weight things. If something more than a few ounces is dropped and you're wanting to use the magnet to move it somewhere more accessible I think you'll be disappointed with the amount of weight it holds. The camera app works fine but doesn't include an option to select the camera used. Took a while to find the only place switching the camera is mentioned in the manual (see pic). Easy to overlook. Especially since the button used is also the one to take pictures with. And though it isn't clear in the picture the "Take photos" text label for the button on the cable is much darker and bolder than the text underneath it. Video seems okay. Have only used it for a few minutes at this point so not ready to make any claims about it. The camera end of the cable is 43mm long and made from metal. Seems very durable. But at 43mm it is too long to get around some of the bends in my 1 1/2" pipes. I was expecting it to go a few places it can't. If that camera part was 35mm or shorter I think it would go around every bend.

High quality!!
I highly recommend this endoscope. It works incredibly well; you just need to download the app and that's it. The camera has excellent image quality, and the best part is that it connects to your phone. It's very easy to use. The app lets you take photos or videos, and the camera has a small light that makes it even better. It's definitely worth it.

Easy set up, useful (and fun)
This snake camera/endoscope is really a great value, and super useful. I needed something to see inside small space, and this is exactly the tool I needed. It's small enough to get into tight spaces, like drains, engines, under car seats, behind appliances... anywhere you need to get. The light is really helpful, and you can get a good image quality within about 1 inch of the camera (optimal focal length is 2-10cm). The photo quality is pretty good, but not perfect. Definitely good enough for finding dropped objects and removing clogs/blockages. It's also long enough to reach virtually anything I can think I'd need to go after. Also comes with a few helpful tools including a magnet, hook, and a mirror to get around corners and grab objects. It also has adapters for Micro-USB and Lightning plugs, so you can use it with just about any phone or device. Set up is very easy -- just install the app, plug in the camera, and you're good to go! Takes photos and video with sound. Just check the last two photos to see the image quality directly from the camera. NOTE: I should probably clarify that while its tempting to look into your nose, throat or ears, the FIRST warning in the instructions is that its not for medical use or human examination. So I DEFINITELY DIDN'T DO THAT. But if I did, I would have had a lot of fun and gotten a lot of laughs.

It’s a good starter kit. Some flaws but overall I like it. And it still works
Well it’s ok I guess. It has a good clear picture quality so far. Also nice is the adjustable brightness on the lighting output. Easy to connect to your phone which mine is an IPhone 15. Can’t speak on compatibility for Android users because we’re an Apple family. However it does Automatically start up the app when you plug it in. My only complaint is the wire is hard to bend and form and stay in a certain angle. And also not being able to easily find your media files/pictures-videos after you take them. I’ve looked everywhere on my phone. Oh and the accessories it comes with have been of no use to me. Just wish it also came with a case. However I took some bubble wrap to wrap around the camera and then a small piece of PVC tubing I slip over the bubble wrap to protect the camera. I ended up using a Crown Royal bag for a carry case and so far it’s kept it all protected and kept together as a kit. This was just a trial learning product until i upgrade one day to a more user friendly handheld model with adjustable motor head

Great device. Saved me tons of headache doing repairs.
I bought this as a "just in case I need it" tool. Paid for itself first time I used it. I had a stubborn pop-up tub drain that I needed to replace. Couldn't find the well-hidden, almost invisible, set screw to remove it. This endoscope did the trick. Now I'm off to look for things I've lost in various nooks and crannies around my home and shop :-) Pros: 1. Works with phone app. Install the APP, plug the scope into the USB C or Iphone port on phone, APP opens and you get a full screen view. You can use the app to adjust magnification. 2. Comes with 16' cable, plenty of attachments (hook, mirror, etc.). The control switch lets you take a photo. 3. easy to get into those really hard spots. CONS: None

Won't even recognize camera is plugged in.
The app will not even recognize that the camera is plugged in. I have tried combinations of having the app on first, before plugging the camera in. Or plugging the camera in before turning on the app. I get a screen that tells me to plug in the camera. Whether it is plugged in or not. I still get the same screen if I unplug, while that screen is up, and I unplug, then plug the camera back in. The only difference being that when I see the screen telling me to plug it in, if I unplug, then plug it back in, I very briefly get a screen with two orange buttons, then it instantly goes back to the screen that tells me to plug it in. So, I unplugged it, plugged it in, and started jabbing at the point on my phone screen where the 'camera' orange button is, and viola, I happened to be jabbing at the right instant when that orange button came up. The screen changed to what I assume is the working screen for the camera. But no image. (The leds all light up, the instant you plug it in, so it's not like the camera is not working at all.) Black screen. Photo option is lit up, but pressing the button to take a pic, produces nothing. I choose the video option, and get the same results from a button push. Nothing. I went into the app, and gave all permissions. No change. This thing is worthless to me. The leds light up. The thing gets pretty hot. Drains the phone battery pretty quickly. But no image. Ever. Completely worthless. Plus, I saw nothing anywhere at any point that gave me an option between the two lenses. Apparently the app only allows one lens to be used. The second might as well not exist.
