Previous Customers not listened to by manufacturer, causing a common fault to continue.
Very good warmth where you needed it. Small and very portable. Unfortunately one element bar stopped working on the 2nd occasion we used it. I decided that as it wasVERY cheap, and we only needed 1 bar for local heat, we would keep it.We used it only five more times, and the second element started sparking, and then failed! I have to admitI did not read customer appraisals when I bought it, but have read their comments since. There are quite a few customers who have had the same problems as us. It is a shame as the product worked well for a while. The manufacturer needs to source some better quality elements! I would happily have paid £5.00 MORE, for what could have been a very good product! Sent back for refund.

Amazing heater
I read the reviews and was very unsure how was gonna be for a cheap heater the power of heat that comes off it is amazing didn't expect it to be that good I only paid over £7.90 and last night thought gonna order another one amd got it even cheaper £5.70 both bought under used like new amd only thing wrong first one box was little ripped but everything else was still sealed up amd the second heater was nothing wrong with it all sealed up so it worth checking the filters and look under used as there is no way bother heaters been used let alone opened it xame under used like new

Could Have Been Perfect
We live in a large, old, incredibly cold house. Even blasting our central heating 24/7 rarely makes a difference during the winter. I’m very interested in infrared heating and thought I’d try this cheap heater before investing in a better system. Initially this was awesome. It worked incredibly well warming us on our sofa however, within less than a month the top element started arcing electricity - it looked neat but highly dangerous - before finally blowing. We’d used this at most for an hour or so each evening and for less than a month. Fantastic when it works but clearly cheap garbage. Save your money, and the environment, and buy something better that might last longer. (There’s no way to open and repair this so if I weren’t returning it for a refund it would simply end up in landfill.) UPDATE 13th Feb 18 - While this was working my mum experienced at our house, loved it, so I sent her one the next day. Her’s lasted just 4 uses before before both bulbs failed completely. Literally cannot understand why any one has legitimately give this cheap tat anything but a 1 star review

You get what you pay for
Its always worth remembering you get what you pay for. At £10-00 dont expect too much. If you are buying a heater for regular use and maybe for an older person i would say, buy a known brand and more robustly built. This is best used maybe in a workshop or shed or any room that is occupied. I wouldn't leave this heater unattended.Firstly, taking note of the review comments about a short lead l immediately dismantled the fire to change the lead, Fully appreciating i am invalidating the warranty but as a qualified electrician and the unit only costing £10-00 i decided what the hell.As soon as i opened the unit i noticed the original live brown wire had been trapped between the front and rear covers on assemble. The Live wire was cut approx half way through and could have led to a fire or electrocution if it had been exposed to the exterior of the fire, (i did not notice any exposure). The next thing i noticed was how light and soft the plastic is. The automatic safety cut off switch which some reviews have commented does not work or gives problems is a small and cheap unit (remember its a cheap fire). If this fails it would be easy for a qualified electrician to change.I actually believe that some of the problems with the switch are simply down to where it stands, On a hard floor surface it works perfectly but on a medium pile carpet it quite simply does not push the external button in far enough to press the micro switch. Thus the fire does not work.On reassembling the fire noting how soft and light the plastic is the screws should not be over tightened.Having said the above, this is just right for my needs because i just needed a cheap fire for occasional use in one room of a large house .

Broke within 1 week of purchase
Bought one of these heaters and it arrived damaged to I exchanged it for a new one. No worries, a new one was sent to me within the next day. Received it 1 week ago and its already broken. Both the heater sticks inside Began to spark and then suddenly switched off and never turned back on again. Of course, paying £10 you can't expect much, however, I would have liked for it to last longer than 7 days.Wouldn't recommend, pay for a slightly more expensive one that is guaranteed to last longer.

Heater Elements are Faulty
Bought one of these and within Days one of the Heater Elements was glowing white and making a noise until it went completely. The supplier did replace it very quickly but the second did exactly the same within 2 weeks.I carried on using on one bar whilst trying to get replacement elements (which I couldn't source) then that went as well.I have to say I have one of these I bought a year or so ago in my Campervan and it hasn't given me any trouble, so I can only guess it is a faulty batch of Heater Elements. But that does mean people are going to waste money !I have a better quality one now from Screwfix and it was cheaper ;)
