Very very sharp right out of the box like good knives should be. I am a knife guy and really like the quality these knives are. If you hit the knives on the sharpener that the holding block has before and after every use they stay slicing smoothly.

This review is for the 360-degree magnetic knife holder. I am very happy with this product. - Its magnetic holding force is perfect: not too strong that removing a knife for use becomes dangerous, but strong enough that I feel confident that my knives will not fall off even when spinning quickly. - It fits 8 average size/weight chef knives comfortably. - It spins very easily and cleanly even if not loaded evenly. - It has substantial mass/weight to it so that removing a knife doesn’t cause the whole unit to move. - It’s plain but nicely finished wood surfaces are aesthetically pleasing for my kitchen decor. - I do anticipate that over time, the wood surfaces will become worn and perhaps even scratched to some extent, but I believe ultimately it will just give it more character which I am ok with. Overall, it is a well designed product which I hope to enjoy for many years to come.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Beautiful product both the knives and block. The knives fit nicely in my hand and good weight. They can get slippery, and sticky quickly. I wouldnt say they are the sharpest, but tremendously better than most. One of the reasons I picked this product over others was that it states it is dishwasher safe. While it will survive an accidental trip through the washer, mine come out with rust on it. A thorough scrubbing will take it off, but you are better off just hand washing in the first place. I have had other knives that although significantly more expensive have lasted me 10+ years with multiple trips in the washer, never dulled or rusted. This product is worth the money, but if you are looking for heirloom quality you may want to keep looking. I do not recommend this set for those with dexterity struggles due to handwashing and slippery grip.

I’m so happy I purchased this magnetic knife block! The wood grain is gorgeous, and it’s clearly well made; it’s has a nice weight, rotates smoothly, and I’m confident the magnets will hold our knifes safely and securely. I also appreciate that it takes up less space than the old block style design that our knives originally came with. Thank you!

PERFECT knife holder! It is top quality and fits nicely in a smaller kitchen area next to the stove. The rotatable holder makes it easy to access any side. I would 100% recommend this product. I already have friends and family ready to order one for themselves.
