Well built bench vice for smaller projects.
Well built, well finished and smooth operating clamp on bench vice. Not much else to ad. Works great. Picked up the rubber faced Wilton magnetic jaw faces and a third party set of urethane faces to keep my clamped items safe from marring.Jaws close evenly and tightly. Finish is nice and looks durable. Happy with the size and function.

This vise is great!
It clamps right to my tool bench, just the perfect vise for my shop. Very sturdy and tough, I love it.

High quality Wilton 4" portable vise that is worth the price.
Top quality casting and excellent milling of all parts creates an excellent tool. Fine fit and finish throughout. NO twisting or movement after setting the jaws on the work piece. The vise has enough mass to hold the work firmly for precise work. The attachment screw holds the vise firmly to any solid edge of a workbench or table. The base rotates to adjust to nearly any angle for ease of use. There are two locking bolts (instead of one on vises of this size) on the base to hold the vise rock steady at the angle you choose. Keep it clean and lubricated and it will last a lifetime. This is one tool worth the cost.

Great for Gunsmithing
Clamped on to my solid wood work bench very securely and I’m able to torque barrel nuts for AR15s at 55ft lbs with zero movement, so if you’re just getting into gunsmithing this is a great option

Said Wilton, but more like a china knock off.
I have used Wilton vise’s for over 30 years. In my experience, they where the best vises made. This vise looks like a Wilton, designed like a Wilton, but has very poor craftsmanship. Unlike a Wilton. Apparently Wilton has drop there quality control, and joined the Chinese market with the fast and cheaply made, but keep the the Wilton price tag. A Wilton vise use to be worth every penny you paid for it. First off, it is full of casting grit, will not work smooth like a Wilton should. Second, they are made with the cheapest parts available. The swivel base is just 2 china made stove bolts that don’t fit right. It does not pivot, it completely offsets from the base. 3rd, the lead screw nut is poorly casted and poorly threaded. Probably will not last long, it is already starting to strip out with 5 minutes of use, the guide pins are not fixed, they are loose. There is a lot of sloppy play in the vise, like the cheap knock offs. Another great USA company that has sold out there quality for cheap manufacturing from other countries. Read the other reviews before buying a new Wilton vise. And look for a old Wilton vise. They are solid and will last almost as long as you live. Wilton vises should be a 5 star rating all day long.

Very solid! BUT if it’s not, ask for a replacement. It’s worth the time!!
Nice little vise for my smaller projects. I do restorations of small items so I don’t need a large vise to work with those items. It’s a great companion to my Wilton Tradesman. Great even clamping, smooth action AFTER I took the dynamic jaw out, wiped out the old grease and metal shavings, sanded and filed a few spots like the channel on the dynamic jaw, and re-greased the parts. No problems with sticking or reinserting the jaw if it comes all the way out. However this was my SECOND one of these as the first one was damaged operating tightly, a weird pop would occur every revolution when loosening the jaw, it wouldn’t tighten down without slipping, and it wouldn’t swivel at all. This is NOT normal for these. This one worked well out of the box but even better after I cleaned it up a bit. As you can see the paint has a lot of wear but that’s to be expected with how they package these things - Wilton throws them in a cardboard box with no other packaging. My larger and more expensive Tradesman also had a lot of finish wear because it was packed with the same loving care. Rustoleum Hammered Verde Green spray paint is pretty much a dead-on match if that’s a concern. Also, this isn’t American-made for this price. It is however made by York in the Czech Republic which incidentally is where the founder of Wilton lived before WWII as a hand tool salesman who sold York vises. Very solid vise and I’m glad I got this model vs the 65 which has 2.5” jaws. I went through a couple vises in this size to find one that was this solidly made. Clamps down well without moving. The limited pivoting options is not an issue. Most of the older vises like this didn’t even have the ability to turn and they also didn’t have replaceable jaws. Easy to find magnetic covers as well. I’ll have this for a long time!

Prepare for the Clamps!
Attach it to a sturdy and very heavy desk! With that obvious statement said and done this vice is amazing.I got it at an amazing price on sale and with it fixed multiple pain in my rear projects that have sat untouched for months. It hold to the desk firm and clamps tight with great even pressure. The grease on it when you first get it is thick and hard to wash off your hands, but it keeps it nice and rust free with butter smooth action. The box it arrived in was... well, not loved by the UPS driver, but still held up to the transit without damage present on the vice. The only thing I can complain about is the rotation specifically the horizontal rotation. Now it does as it promises and stays in place as it should, but the paint of the upper and lower ... well that chips off as you use that feature. It doesn't seem to be too bad and didn't make it look awful or anything noticeable, but it did make a smidge of a mess.As for amazon asking for me to give it a start rating on portability, HA! Clearly a 5 star!

Calidad regular
