Maybe not as Adaptable as it Might Be.
I probably spend too much time on my computer with a headset on--and I'm not playing online video games. As a result, I thought it would be a good idea to switch to ear buds, and I wanted wired buds because I spend a lot of time talking to students and don't want those conversations picked up on something else. With these buds, you get about 50" of lightweight wire, so that should be enough to get you a respectable distance from the device you're using--it's more than four feet, so if you want to run, walk, sit, they should work out fine. They are relatively comfortable, with and without the silicone earplugs. The sound is good, and even at a lower volume, the audio is crisp. That is a definite positive here. The volume control and microphone activation are more complicated than they need to be, and I've used some pretty complicated systems in my time teaching online. Maybe, "complicated" isn't the word to use, but cumbersome might suggest a difficulty with the actual control. It's more about the complexity of "long/short press" and multiple "presses" to activate different functions. It is something that would take some getting used to.They do have a broad compatibility, and essentially, they'll work with anything that has a 3.5mm jack. I tried them on my computer, a tablet, an MP3 player, an old CD player, and even the transistor radio I carried back in the 70's. the unit worked, to varying degrees, with all of them. That's pretty cool. Now, this may sound contradictory, but where I was truly disappointed was in not being able to use them completely with my laptop, which was mainly what I wanted them for. With a laptop and the iPod models, you're not going to be able to make use of the volume control on the ear buds at all. You can control the volume with the computer or iPod's volume adjustment, but the controller on the unit is not compatible with these technology types. That is explained in the user manual for the unit, and they will refund your money if that is the case and you'd prefer to look for something else. Still, it seems like a fairly substantial drawback to using these, at least from my perspective. The sound quality, wire length, and expansive compatibility of these ear buds are big pluses, but the lack of volume control for some tech may cause of bit of hesitation for those who see them as an alternative to over-the-ear headsets.

Great ear buds!
I needed a spare pair and these work great! I would recommend!

Fine back-up buds
These are surprisingly decent earbuds for the price. They aren't going to win any sound awards, but that's not necessarily their purpose. I use these more for utility/back-up purposes and for phone calls when I need them, but not necessarily as my mains. I don't know how well they'll last, but at this price, it's fine. You know what you're paying for.

work
Hubby reports: These are good headphones for the price. I have been using them with my VR and they have been working great! Have great sound and it keeps my VR from driving my wife crazy. If you are replacing a set or just want a spare set of headphones, you should give these a shot.

Great sound not convenient microphone function
The BENEWY in-Ear Earbuds Wired, Earphones with Microphone, Noise Isolation Corded for 3.5mm Jack Ear Buds Laptop, Kids, School Students has a great sound for the price.I have an older Android phone and I could not get the microphone portion to work for phone calls, to change songs for the audio or the volume control. The audio did work for Amazon music, however the microphone and volume controls did not.It did work on my Samsung tablet. It does come with a generous warranty and it seems like they really stand behind their product. It's not shown on the product listing photo and it does come with attachments for the ear. I didn't find them a comfortable fit. I have small ears and it would just fall out. I used it without the attachment and it fit a lot better but it wasn't very comfortable. The microphone is too high up so I had to take the one earbud out of my ear in order to control the volume or pause the music or change the track. It also would make it difficult to answer a phone call or hang up.I think this works best just if you have to listen to music or something on the computer, but not so much for phone since the control is very small and not convenient. There's also no light on to tell you that you have the power on for the controller. I attached photos I had to put some color in it in order to make it more readable.

comfortable and practical
I got these headphones to participate in video conferences at my desk. I have tried wireless earbuds, but I have not succeeded in getting the bluetooth to reliably work on this particular CPU. So I plug these into the headphone port on the CPU and the cable is long enough to comfortably permit the use while sitting at my desk. The cable is 3" longer than an old pair of Apple earbuds, and they fit my ears comfortably in about the same way the Apple ones do. They shipped with some rubber socks to slip over the buds, but I have never used them nor seen the benefit of using them. When not in use, the backside of the buds are equipped with magnets to hold them together which is very helpful in avoiding the tangling of the cable.
