CharlieCurls: On The Go, One-Piece, Easiest ever No Heat Hair Curler (Mocha (Box))

Update: after about five months of using Charlie curls, it broke. The inside wire just split, rendering it useless. I used it about four nights a week and I wasn’t hard on it, and plus, it’s expensive for what you get. I’m bummed because it really did give my hair some body and slight curls. I won’t be buying another one because for $25, it should last more than a few months. :(Previous review:I had some serious trepidation when I ordered this, as I noticed that most people who like it have long, thick Barbie Doll hair. I have fine, layered hair that reaches just past my shoulders, and though I seem to have enough of it, I was worried that this wouldn't work for me. However, I used it last night and voile: I had some nice waves and body in my hair this morning. I slept in it and didn't notice that it was uncomfortable and it stayed in my hair all night. I didn't have the illustrious Barbie Doll curls that are shown in the advertisements, but I did have some nice body and it stayed in my hair through a hectic work day. So, if this gadget holds up and continues to work, I may even update my review to reflect five stars instead of four. So far, this is a great hair gadget that even works for people who don't have a ton of long, thick mermaid hair. Score! I would have given it five stars, but for what you get, this product is expensive.After using this a few more times, a tip: don't use it when your hair is wet. If you just spray your dry hair a bit, just enough to make it slightly damp, then use the CharlieCurl, you'll have better results. I tried to sleep in it after a shower with wet hair and my hair didn't hold the curl for most of the day, even though it was mostly dry by the morning. I've also noticed that spraying a bit of product in your hair before you put it in really helps set the curls.

I'll be honest—I was super skeptical at the start. I have really straight hair and nothing works to get it curled! My friend said CharlieCurls worked for her, so I decided to give it a go.The first time, I rolled my hair before going on a hike. I only left it in for like an hour and a half and didn't use any spray. Still, when I took it out, I had tons of volume! (picture of me by a tree)The next time, I spritzed my hair with a little setting spray before rolling it up. I left it in for about an hour while I cooked dinner. When I took it out... MAGIC! I actually hard curls in my hair! This never happens with stick-straight hair like mine, so, as you can imagine, I was really excited. Thank you, CharlieCurls, for giving my hair more body than it's ever had before! I definitely recommend that you give this a try.

I love this easy to use product! My hair is shoulder length with layers - so I use two Charlie Curls. One for the top (layers) and another for the rest of my hair. Easy to sleep in and the curl/body stays until the next wash. My hair is course/dry - so not having to addi heat is such a plus!

I got this for my 8 year old daughter. She insisted on putting it in herself the first night. She came out of her bathroom in the morning showing off her curls. It is so nice that she can do it all herself (and no brushing hair out in the morning for me!) Getting more for her friends for gifts.

I’ve got thinner straight hair and love the wind blown curls that that this CharlieCurls creates. I let my 1/2 way dry after a shower then I roll my hair in it to dry and get great curls. Highly recommend.

The idea is great! I followed advice of using it on "2nd day" hair with some product in it. I may have needed a little more spritz. It was super easy to sleep in. No complaints there. My hair isn't as long as pictures that are posted - and the description clearly states it works best on long hair. If I can get it to work I'll revise this review. One month later update ... so I just kept trying to get it to work and it did! I have relatively fine hair - a lot of it - just very fine. It is very hard to get my hair to curl or wave. Now that I've got the hang of this I'm letting my hair grow long. The curls are beautiful and the best part is they last a couple of days. I'm so happy I kept trying. I don't ever want to go back to hot rollers or curling iron. It's so easy to use once I got the hang of it. I highly recommend this product for any one who wants gorgeous hair without the hassle of spending an hour on it just to have it go straight.

This is my new favorite hair gadget. I was unsure with the mixed reviews but I'm really glad I bought it. I hate taking time to do my hair so now I wake up and it's done! It works best with overnight use, especially if you have stubborn straight hair that hates to hold a curl.

OMG! This REALLY works! It gives my stick straight hair beautiful, full, bouncy curls! AND they last for days!! The best thing that I have ever bought for my hair!!! I color my hair light brown to dark blonde and I'm a natural brunette. I love the look of curly hair and I used to get perms, but if I perm my already delicate hair, I'm sure it will fall out!!! So, this little gadget gives me the look of a perm without the damage and odor!! I want at least two more in different colors because it's so cute you can wear it like a hair accessory!!! The best little invention EVER!!!!

I have tried various non heat curl methods, so I was excited to try this as it seemed like very little effort to do.I watched a lot of the YouTube videos demonstrating the Charlie curl technique - it looked so easy to achieve.I like to wash my hair before bed, dry it to 90% then put in a non heat curling device. I was quite disappointed with this! I have long fine blond hair that ends just past my shoulders. I basically get a rather ugly wave from this.... i have tried the Charlie curl about 20 times now and various ways but every morning my hair looks crap! Just an ugly looking wave- I would be better off leaving it straight or even plaiting it loosely before bed.Rockin Rollers give a much better result!
