A well made rig to film with mobile phones.The rig has three cold shoe mounting points, however you can attach additional accessories with clamping mounts.The mobile is held in place well with a slide tightener and so most sizes of mobiles are accommodated in the rig The only slight niggle is that the lens of the mobiles cannot be placed in the centre of the rig.Also it would have been nice for some cold shoe mounts to have been place at the bottom of the rig. However there is a tripod screw mount at the bottom, which allows for adding other mounting bars.The rig is lightweight yet robust and easy to pack away and carry in an accessories bag.

I had to do a demonstration of desktop photography using an iPhone to my woodturning club. As photography is mainly about controlling the light, I wanted something to hold the iPhone securely in place. iPhones don't have tripod screws so this VIDIFY U-Rig Pro, which has several, was ideal, as it let me connect my iPhone to a computer that could then display on a large TV via an HDMI cable.The phone (you can use Android as well) is held in place with a strong spring slider, that also has a large tightening wheel for safety. The edges of the slide are soft silicon-like rubber, so it's unlikely the phone will get damaged.The cage has 4 tripod screw holes on three of the sides, and one long side has three cold-shoe slots for standard accessories like microphones and lights, but I didn't need to use those.Even hand-held this device really steadies up a phone camera, but it's invaluable for placing the camera where you want it and re-arranging the subject when you use it on a tripod.TIP: if you want to take a photo without jogging the camera, especially useful for HDR or 'studio' shots, you can use the timer on the phone.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.I was particularly drawn to it, because I occasionally like to film short wildlife clips on my phone, and found the idea of a portable rig (such as this one), very convenient.It has a very good build quality; the entire piece is sturdy, and has a sleek finish. Each side has a comfortable hand grip which is ergonomic and easy to hold. Though the extendable phone holder is a little stiff, it is also very strong - I 'stress-tested' it a little, finding that my phone didn't budge at all, once locked in place. The tripod and accessory screw threads appear to be well-machined, whilst being useful to have, if needed, too.Having shot some footage on my phone, whilst walking around, I would say that the Vidify definitely helped me to get more stable results (vs. handholding). I am looking forward to being able to pop it in my bag and take it with me.In summary, a good value item.

VIDIFY U-Rig (B0D7MLSJ8Y)Lots of connections for multiple attachments make this an invaluable toolThis rig is such a clever device, allowing you to connect attachments and set them running whilst you click and shoot. Having both hands on the rig helps stabilise shooting and the attachments are all within a few centimetres of the grip and easy to operate.This rig really does concentrate the mind on what is required for a successful shot and it gives you lots of opportunities to set up desktop or handheld action photography.I'm still finding lots of angles that this rig provides and it stays where put and unlikely to topple over. Great fun to use.

To be perfectly honest I wasn't expecting much from this, because it just looks like a plastic rectangle with a phone mount in the middle.After getting my hands on it though I have to admit that it's actually surprisingly useful.It's bulky but that's actually part of the function. It's easy to grab, hold steady and manipulate on the go to get the best angle without dropping your phone. The frame gives you options for attachments that don't need to be held or adjusted separately and I'm genuinely impressed with the stability it gives.Again, at first glance the value for money didn't add up but after some use I think it's actually reasonably priced. I recommend this for kids parties or sporting events, anything where you need to be able to just move with the action and not have to faff around with your phone.

This is a simple yet handy device that not only makes it easier to have lots of attachments without requiring two sets of hands to hold, but it's design makes it more comfortable to hold allowing mor stable filming.It contains everything I need, including a 1/4" thread at the bottom for when I want to attach it to a tripod, plus two 1/4" threads at the top plus 3 cold shoe slots - I can fit my mic and lights very easily with this.The phone holder fits my iPhone 14 Pro just fine, but you may struggle with larger phones (ie Max size) as the maximum it can stretch is just 1cm taller than my iPhone in landscape mode. Making it removal with a 1/4" screw holding it would have been ideal, as I can then just swap it out for a magsafe holder that I use with my tripod. Not a biggie really as my iPhone fits just fine.Very happy with this, certainly helps with smoother filming!
