This text explains Mantras and Yantras, their origins and uses. It's the transliteration of three a day satsang in March 2010.For me, the best part in it is where Swami Niranjan explains that a Mantra is not about the meaning of its translation, but about their individual syllables they're made off which will touch differnt parts of your body and consciousness and awaken a higher awareness. The technique of mantra meditation is further explained in the book Meditations from the Tantras. It's a great companion book for for the following publications of the Bihar School of Yoga:- Siddha Stotra Mala (song book)- Sri Lakshmi-Narayana Stotra Mala (song book)- Meditations from the Tantras (meditation techniques for beginners, contains various mantras in the appendix)- Sri Saundarya Lahari (advanced mantra meditation)- Kundalini Tantra (use of yantras)- Yoga and Kriya (one lesson about OM meditation, one chapter about Yantras and their respective Mantras)

It has 57 pages not 120 as advertissd.
It states it has 120 pages. It does not -it has 57 pages -hardly worth the £16 + I paid for it.

Mantra and Yantra
Book by Swami Niranjananda. I found it useful in my research of using mantras and yantras. I wouldn't consider it be essential, it is a bit general, addressed to not very advanced practitioners.

Look up the New South Wales Royal Commission into Mangrove Ashram.
Given the recent Royal Commission in Australia looking into abuse in Satyananda Yoga it's difficult to give any credibility to this at the moment.
