CHINA....actually works pretty well, but I lost a part cleaning it out and the back jaw is loose. Be careful when turning it over to remove shells. The screws get loose after a bit so you have to tighten them up periodically..

It might, although I've not tried it. This device cracks pecans easier than any device I've tried. You will definitely get more leverage on the nut to be cracked but whether you will get sufficient leverage remains to be seen.

Yes I have. Sometimes it cracks them great and other times not so well, but I believe it is because of the age of the Brazil nut itself. It's a very good nut cracker. I use it mainly for Macadamia nuts, Hazelnuts and somtimes Almonds. It works great on all of those. I hope this answers your question.

I've not tried Macadamia nuts. Apparently the shell is rumored to be made of cement covered in epoxy so it would take considerable effort. This nutcracker is the best I have ever owned (of at least 6 different styles) in terms of how quickly a batch of pecans can be cracked and how effortlessly it takes to crack them. It is well-built. I think there are reviews where folks have cracked Macadamias.. Good luck!
