Very professional
This honestly feels like something you'd see in a radio station or something. I'm quite surprised at just how technical it really is. When I got it I thought I was just getting a high quality microphone for using in my home office, and that's what I got, but having all these additional features is an enormous help. Biggest of which is its ability to filter out background noises, which is a massive help for those of use who have noisy kids or pets, but it also helps with things like filtering out your typing or noises outside a window for example. The audio quality of it is ridiculously high too. I'm no audio engineer or anything, but I can tell that the sound it delivers is smooth and rich and filtered of any unnecessary pops, static, unnecessary background noise or fluctuations. I'd imagine even professionals would be impressed with this. Having the buttons easy to reach and control without even looking is a big help too.The arm as well is great but that is also where I did notice some issues. It is really big! Once it's clipped onto your desk and you're sat in front of your computer, you feel like it dominates the space. For something so large and long I would have also liked a second clamp to ensure it won't come crashing down too. Having said that though, I do want to add that I felt like the arm was very smooth and precise in it movements. It's easy to adjust it or reposition it with a single hand and I've never heard a single squeak or anything either.Phenomenal stuff. I'd highly recommend this whether you're an amateur or a professional. I'd imagine something like this would be ideal for someone looking to get into streaming or such like.

Good mic let down by a disappointing boom arm
This is a nice microphone that performs well and simply, and has the huge advantage of being able to switch from USB to XLR if you want to upgrade your setup/use a mixer/use it in different settings. It seems like a good purchase for a new Youtuber/streamer, but also works (extremely) well for a more professional video conferencing setup on Zoom or Teams. I've used it happily in Audacity also. It's not to be compared with the big names, which typically sell for substantially more - but at £79.99 (the price as I write) that's an unfair comparison.Pros -- good, clear sound - not quite studio quality, obviously, but far better than my headset/webcam/cheap lavalier mics etc.- pretty good noise cancellation - this works very well and I use it for videocalling all the time, as it cuts out background noise (including me typing on my mechanical keyboard/mouse clicks etc.) very well; as always it degrades the sound somewhat, making it a little flat, so if you are recording really important audio it's better to find somewhere quiet!- effective pop filter- ease of use - it was plug and play for me- easily accessible, simple volume knob with plenty range- picks up from a reasonable distance, so that streaming/videoconferencing you can have it on the edge (or possibly out) of shot, so that it's not distracting.- threaded socket, so that it can be attached to other booms/tripods/etc. easily.- USB (for ease of use, plug and play for most of us)- XLR - for those who want really good sound quality via external sound mixers etc.- power light that reminds you when it's on, and also (by colour) whether or not the noise cancellation is on, and also what volume you are at (by brightness, plus red for mute).- 3.5mm monitor port.Cons- lightweight build (despite large size) compared to more premium mics- big!- volume knob doesn't have start/end/any gradations to really help you dial in volume precisely.- boom arm - see below. The Boom arm, on the other hand, is very poor, and I'd personally recommend putting it on a different arm ASAP, which is what I have done. The bulk of the arm is metal, but the clamp is largely plastic, and when you move the arm around it doesn't hold tight but moves around a lot. It isn't solid or robust. It is a bit short for my (admittedly wide, but not ridiculous!) desk, so that I couldn't get the mic into a decent position. And it doesn't have many degrees of movement, either. The alternative stand I put it on enables me to easily swing it out of the way to the side when I'm not using it, and that feels like an essential feature of a boom arm. The one it comes with made that awkward, at least for me! Admittedly other reviewers seem to think the arm is fine... but the one I'm using instead is far, far better and was very far from expensive. I'd recommend planning to replace as soon as possible! All in all, it's a very decent mic. Is it better than the competition? That's a harder question to answer without a lot of head-to-head testing. It's a good choice, especially if you want the double USB/XLR connectivity - a really valuable feature for anyone who might upgrade kit over time - but it may not beat all the competition on sound quality. That's not to say I personally have any complaints or see the need to upgrade it any time soon, though.

Good Sound Quality
I was pleased to try this style of podcast microphone, especially as it clamps to my desk, taking up little room. This one in particular looks very good in my home office. My desk is a standard IKEA one, with a thick 3.5cm top but this easily fitted.I use the USB connection with my MacBook, so I can create videos. It was straightforward to setup and full instructions are provided. I could see at a glance what the multi function knob is controlling, due to the different light colour (noise cancelling, mute, volumes) and it was easily accessible. The sound really surprised me when I played back, it sounded a lot clearer and professional than my previous clip on microphone recordings. For someone like me who just likes to plug and play, this microphone was ideal. I would recommend.

Great for Streaming
This is lovely bit of kit. It feels well made and sturdy and performs just as well. For me, the highlight is that fact that it has both a USB socket for recording direct into my PC, but also an XLR connector for use with my mixer, for more complex recording tasks - best of both worlds. The boom arm feels robust, and stays where you position it, there are no squeaks from the joints either - quite important for a mic stand! As others have already commented, the clamp for the arm opens wide enough to accommodate even quite thick desktops and holds the entire assembly firmly, without wobble. The sound quality of the mic is very good. It might not up to recording studio standards, but for general use it's spot on. The selectable noise cancellation does a good job of squashing unwanted background noise, such as the tapping of a mechanical keyboard.Overall, a nice bit of kit, that I'm happy to recommend.

Great starter kit for a new streamer!
Excellent starter kit for a new streamer or podcaster. My nephew is getting into Twitch streaming and this was the perfect setup to get him going. His desk is decently thick but the included boom arm was able to attach and holds the microphone well, allowing him a good range of movement with it. The microphone itself is of good quality - it's not going to top a SM7B obviously but it's solid, sounds good for the overall price and works well with his GoXLR Mini. He's very happy, and so are we. Recommended.

Awesome Mic
I used this to replace my aging pc gaming mic to game with friends and in discord. This mic is much better than my several times more yeti pro mic, and the noise cancelling is by far the best feature of this mic. With my yeti mic, it picks up EVERYTHING in the room and house. With this mic, only my voice is picked up, which is such an incredible feature. Unfortunately due to no fault of the mic, I accidentally broke my mic's USB c port broke and it is now unusable (from it getting pressed), but I am looking to get another one asap; that's how much I like it. Great mic.

NearStream Microphone AM10X
After initially purchasing the NearStream microphone AM10U, I encountered compatibility issues with my reference software Logic Pro. Although the microphone quality is good, I have to consider returning. However, NearStream's technical support perfectly intervened: sorry for any inconvenience caused, they have provided me with a satisfactory solution. This availability and attention convinced me to give NearStream another chance, so I purchased the NearStream AM10X at their suggestion and guaranteed full compatibility with my software. Surprisingly, they also offered me a discount on purchasing AM10X, indicating that their care for customers exceeded expectations. Now I have two microphones: the AM10U I use in the office and the AM10W I use at home, which allows me to appreciate and utilize the specifications of each model. The technical support experience was very positive, and I am already considering purchasing their AMIX20B audio interface to complete my setup. I strongly recommend NearStream products not only for their quality, but also for their excellent customer service.

The adapter got stuck
The mic is good quality and has good features on the knob such as gain, noise reduction, and mute. The downsides with this, however, are: To mute, you have to scroll the gain all the way down which isn't instant and can make it so you lose your ideal spot. The noise reduction also doesn't seem to work that well, just make the quality worse and dampen audio a little bit. The mic also take audio in from the top, not the sides, which means for this to pick up audio best you would need to talk down into it.As for the stand. You need a screw adapter, which is included, to use the mic with the stand. However, the adapter would not come off the mic stand. I wanted to take it off to try on my other mic stand and the screw piece got stuck. When I tried to take it off I ended up slicing my thumb on the screw piece.Other than that I would say for the price it's a good mic/stand combination.
