Worked perfectly... just don't connect 24v supply to 12v out!
Wired this up on my breadboard and it worked great, just what I needed. Dismantled it and built it into my fixed circuit but somehow managed to connect the 24v supply to the 12v terminals - consequence: I had to buy a replacement! Fast delivery and a good quality product that does what it claims. Just a shame I'm not as careful as I should be!

A bit fragile. Might be better for very low amp applications.
Ok, I was unlucky as mine failed very quickly. I don't think the host 24v PSU was very kind with its output. I think anything under 3a should be fine.

works good
Used this to knock down the voltage of a small 24V solar panel to 12V. The solar panel is then hooked up to a 12V battery to keep it trickle charged. Worked great for my application.
